President’s Letter
Dear Members,
Clearly Spring is right around the corner and sunshine makes everyone happy!
Spring makes us think of golf and summer fun. The Power of More Golf Tour is
already scheduled, so be sure to mark those dates in your calendar or on your
smart phone. Whether golf is your cup of “tee” or not, there is plenty of opportunities to network and enjoy the good weather ahead.
Thank you, again, to John Allensworth for the amazing Power of More Fat Tuesday Business After Hours. Excellent wine and catering, with a band all the way
from New Orleans that played some great jazz tunes. The Power of More is truly taking on a life of its own with events like this. I observed many people handing out business cards
and was approached by a number of people who gave me their business cards as well as took mine. I
encourage you to invite people to these events and show them how they can meet new prospects and
business partners. We have by far the largest networking group in Ohio — and all you have to do is
show up with a business card or two!
The Fairview Park Buffalo Wild Wings was a repeat of the same, in that they did a great job, with wonderful food and service. There were a lot of new faces there as well.
Upcoming events are plentiful, with an event at the ever popular GK’s Custom Polishing Business After
Hours on April 5 from 5-7 pm. Judy Kean of Creative Space Art and More is extending the event at her
place from 7-9 pm for desert and a beverage. She is located in the same industrial park a few doors
away.
There is still time to get a table at the Power of More Business Showcase at the Gemini Center in Fairview on April 21. If you have been there before, you know that space is limited. Adjustments have
been made for 2016; call now for a table. There are still a few available.
We have new websites and they are amazing! Make sure to check them out. There are many opportunities to advertise through the website, newsletters, and emails. See pages 8 and 9 in the newsletter
for details.
With all the event planning and work to get the new websites up and running, I would like to John, Tammy and Gylene for all the hard work!
Enjoy! Happy Networking!
Karen Sperli

Member Spotlight, Kelly MacLean
College Recruiting Specialists®
The COMPETITIVE Advantage
As a high school varsity coach one of the many challenges I faced was
Kelly MacLean
encouraging and directing players through the recruiting process. With
Owner
and President
my 10 years of experience in college admissions and eight years as a
varsity coach, I was able to help students navigate through the process with great success. Players and parents from other schools and sports began asking for help after seeing the success of
our student athletes; thus, College Recruiting Specialists was born.
College Recruiting Specialists’ office is located at 31515 Lorain Road in the Soccer
Sportsplex in North Olmsted. They provide personal, one-on-one help in selecting a major, college and athletic program that is a good fit. They work through the hurdles of the admission process; ACT/SAT, college essays, referrals and ultimately athletic recruiting to maximize the students’ opportunities to not only play in college, but to thrive. Their goal is to accomplish the student’s and parents’ goals, including securing scholarships and other forms of financial aid both
athletic and academic. A customized plan is developed for each student and our initial consultation is always free.
College Recruiting Specialists provides personalized service for each family, and has aided hundreds of students help in finding the college that will give them the best preparation for
their chosen career. And at the same time has saved their families over $1 million.
They offer a free consultation to determine a family's needs and then prepare a comprehensive
plan for them to move forward successfully. They focus on preparing the student, while still in
high school, with the right classes and study habits, to be ready for the dozens of milestones
they will face before their first day at college.
“Getting into the college of your choice is not luck. It's knowing what's needed and being
prepared for it”.
Kelly is planning a Spring Sports Summit May 7th at the Soccer
Sportsplex in North Olmsted to help middle school and high school
students and their parents with planning for success in high school
and college. If you have a business or offer a service that would
benefit students or families, you have an excellent opportunity to
showcase your business or service to a wide variety of clientele all
in one spacious area.
Please contact College Recruiting Specialists, LLC at 440-454-0850
