President’s Message
Greetings to all of our Members.
I'm glad to see that there are still people collecting and
showing the old tractors and unique pieces of equipment as
proven at the display at our festival. A nice display of equipment was on show. Many thanks to all who volunteered and
helped. Your labor and support was greatly appreciated.
Thank you again, Keep those tractors rolling. ps: as we
grieve the loss of a member in an accident at Bangor's parade, let us all keep safety in mind.
Bob Clark
Question: What auto manufacturer first incorporated the Star of David into it's logo??
Happy Birthday, Bud!
Bud Knight from Jefferson
just celebrated his 80th birthday. Thanks to Leon Barton,
the club gave Bud this tractor
cake and a card at his party.
What a great cake for a tractor man.
We send our sincere condolences to the family of Wally Fenlason of Holden who passed away in a very tragic accident while participating in the July 4th Bangor
Parade.

Founded in 1994
A lawn and garden tractor pull will be held at 9 Am
Saturday, July 20th, at the land site. A tractor operation course and a safety test will be held fot new youth
pullers. This will be a ribbon pull for youth and a points
pull for adults. Joe Brown has donated another tractor
for the kids to use, If you have any friends, neighbors,
or relatives that have kids that would like to pull, tell
them about this. Memberships and insurance will be
available. I will be cooking hamburgers and hot dogs
for a donation. If there is anyone out there that can get
the sound system out of the bus. Let me know. There
will be the usual $5.00 individual pulling fee. Thanks to
all of you that helped put on one of the best lawn and
garden pulls at the festival. Glenn
On May 18th the first of the lawn/garden tractor pulls
was held integrating the tractor instruction and safety
test. We had 8 youth pullers who competed and a fun
pull was held for the adults.
Lloyd Holland brought a homemade tractor that
looked like a half size version of one of the cranberry
bog tractors. Lloyd never ceases to amaze us with his
inventiveness and creativity.
We only had one puller in the 12 year and up category. Josiah Dillingham pulled 32'10"
The 5 to 12 year class finished as follows
Jorja Poulin 46'7"
Drake Knox 43'10"
Liam Poulin 41'3"
Alivia Knox 33'8"
Alexis Dostie 28'7"
Alexandra Rackliff 28'3"
Eli Rackliff 27;2"
We have created a new class for lawn and garden 2000Lb with 24" tires This was set up for the cebs
and Power Kings that can;t haul the big drag.
It was agreed that you may pull with the mower
deck on, as long as the drive belt has been removed.
Thanks to everyone that made the pull a success. Glenn
18th Annual Tractor Festival Highlights:
Another successful tractor festival is over. We were
worried about another rainy weekend, but the weather
decided to cooperate. We always enjoy talking with the
members, some we only see this one weekend. We
missed seeing some of the older members. Just before
the "Charity Pull" Friday night, the progressive drag decided to break down. Thank you, John, for using your
tools and experience to take the drag apart. Thank you
so very much, Burl and Diane, for taking over Saturday.
The Grange wedding was beautiful and fun. We just
couldn't miss it.
Raffle winners were Jim Wahlstrom - tractor and Corey
Murphy - pedal tractor. Both men are from Farmington.
In the week of the festival and the week after the festival
we gained 29 new members and 1 sponsor. Twenty-six
members and 2 sponsors renewed their memberships. Reminder: A membership goes from January 1 to
December 31. Renewal forms are in the Dec., Jan., and
Feb. newsletters. My "Pet Peeve" is doing all those renewals at the festival. Oh well! I still look forward to seeing you.
This year we lost some faithful volunteers and gained
some new ones. Volunteers, thank you so much for
making this event possible. Terry and I look forward to
having the festival on our Norridgewock land soon.
Have a great tractoring summer!
Harriet
P.S. Glenn says only porta potties next year. You'll have
to ask him why.
Winners of the tractor games were
Adult - Charles Ring - John Deere 530 - slow race
Bruce Ames - Oliver 60 - spoon & egg
Youth - Brandon Buck - Ford 841 - spoon & egg
Adult - Mike Rivard - Power King - slow race
Youth - Ruby Adams - Cub Cadet - slow race
Alex Zelinski - Cub Cadet - spoon & egg
I received a phone call shortly after the festival ended from a local individual who wanted
to compliment the Festival Members on the
professionalism of the Festival signs that were placed
around town. Thanks to Everett Barnard for making
those signs.

Festival Highlights:
This year we have completed the 18th Festival.
Once again, we had much success with Glenn
DeWitt as Chair and all of the Festival and MATC
Committee Members volunteering their time and energy to make every event of the festival successful.
We wish to thank the press for their coverage, they
do an excellent job covering the Festival events.
Above all, the weather held for us, though it was a
might hot and with the exception of a rain shower,
the sun was shinning brightly for us. Our next Festival Meeting will be held on August 5th at the Richmond Fire Station at 7PM.
