We’ll help you find your niche? Developing a new product that will change the world? Congratulations you innovator, you! Those who have been here before know many questions arise when the genius in you does something that gains new footing in the marketplace. Not the least of these questions is “How to Set the Right Price?” Ah… The mystery, the wild, wild west of the pricing world which awaits a new product. Yet as Money Magazine in its August, 2015 issue observed “getting the pricing right is extremely important or none of us will not remain in business for long.” How to find that right price……… First of all: Assess your costs. These include tangibles such as parts that make the new product plus intangibles such as getting the product marketed and of course salaries and other employee costs in doing so. Look at your Competition: If the product is a completely built from scratch new design this is a bit complex, but realistically most new designs are adaptations of others with the adaptation just being plain better! WWW.sba.gov/sizeup is a great little tool to see who your competitors are and with that information, you may just may wish to do a bit of covert shopping. This will help you gain an idea of what our competitor is priced at and if your product offers something distinctive enough to be offered at a higher price or if it needs to stay at a similar rate. Establish your value. Two ways to look at this. You can charge a premium but high quality, uniqueness and great customer service is essential here. You can charge less and rely on volume. Money Magazine suggests a focus group of potential clients and friends assembled could aid you in the process of your marketability for your product. Most of all, your product may fail. Remember Steve Jobs’ Apple Lisa presented in 1983. Only 100,000 of these cuties sold largely due to design flaws. Let’s think where Apple is today. Why, they did not give up in 1983 and continued to innovate and innovate on the innovations. All the best to those who enhance our lives by continuing to introduce new ideas and products into the marketplace. Kay OFFICE SUPPLIES & SO MUCH MORE…! New Author – Rachel Northern The ART of Being Healthy America has been facing a health crisis for many years. Though America makes up 5% of the world population, Americans consume more than 50% of drugs prescribed worldwide. And yet, rank 47th on the list of healthiest countries according to The World Health Organization (W.H.O.). More and more research is showing the importance of recognizing that the human body has an innate capacity to heal when it is free of interference. The ART of Being Healthy – real life stories of children and mothers healing with chiropractic shares peoples’ experience with chiropractic, often when other methods had failed. Co-Author, Dr. Rachel Northern stated: “It is a blessing to have been selected to contribute a true life healing story, with a group of internationally recognized doctors. It is my hope that when people read this book, they will see that there is hope for them and their children.” “People will know that if they are in need of natural healthcare, Northern Light Care is the place to come.” DR.. MCHENRY HEATING & AIR McHenry ss Celebrate Recovery at McHenry Evangelical Free Church ss Bu sin e s Br ie f Hurts, habits, hang-ups … we all have them. We all “know someone” who has them. We are all embarrassed by them. We all wonder what to do with them. Celebrate Recovery (CR) is a 12-Step program for those who long for God’s grace and power as it is displayed through the caring lives of other fellowsufferers. This program is by and for people who struggle with the things that have happened to them, choices they’ve made, and habitual patterns that threaten to further destroy the personal peace and harmony we all crave. While many attend CR as part of their recovery from drug, alcohol, and food addictions, some attend to find peace after making poor personal decisions that have hurt (or even devastated) themselves and others, some attend as part of their recovery from the abuse and sins of others, and some attend just to find strength to live another day with the burdens life has handed them. CR meets at the McHenry Evangelical Free Church (2614 N Ringwood Rd. in McHenry) on Tuesday nights from 7 to 9 pm with an optional fellowship meal at 6 pm. Recognizing a gap in lunchtime service to the homeless, we are teaming up with the community to fill the need, one brown bag at a time. The guidelines for receiving a sack lunch are simple. If you’re hungry we’re going to feed you. Warm weather will bring the closing of temporary housing sites and new anxieties for the homeless population. Summer is often a time when homeless individuals begin to feel the most vulnerable. For many, it involves sleeping outside in tents or under trees and bushes and no consistent daily meals. The long term goal of this program is to be able to provide a brown bag lunch 7 days each and For more information about how you can support The Brown Bag Lunch Program call The Salvation Army at 815.455.2769 e Direct Steel® and Construction Recognized in National Hall of Fame Competition A structure built by Direct Steel and Construction of Crystal Lake, Illinois has been recognized by Varco Pruden Buildings, one of the nation’s largest building-solutions providers. The reality for millions of Americans whose personal data is stored on public and private servers is–It’s not a matter of “if ”, but “when” you will become of victim of Identity Theft - it’s staggering! In fact Identity Theft last year alone accounted for financial losses of $25 billion in the United States. It is the number one complaint with the Federal Trade Commission for the last 15 years. Identity Theft is not just about your credit and debit card accounts. It requires more than credit monitoring to protect yourself. In fact, according to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), only 15% of the Identity Theft the 492,220 complaints received in 2015 would have created activity discoverable by credit report monitoring. It’s important not only to take steps to prevent identity theft, but also have a plan to restore when your identity is stolen. The FTC estimates the average identity theft victim invests over 200 hours and spends a total of 18 months resolving the issue with credit reporting agencies. With this information in mind, it’s important to ask yourself, “what am I prepared to do in the event I become a victim of Identity Theft?” Frank and Kristina Hosticka are Independent Associates with LegalShield/IDShield What’s Up Members?
