for Evicted Roma Families
Since August 7, 2013, 70 Roma and
Egyptian families were expelled from
their homes at ish-Artistikja area,
in Kavaja street in Tirana. Albanian
Roma Federation as well as Roma
and Egyptian youth activists have
followed very carefully these days
the difficult conditions faced by

problematic for all families and especially children.

Discrimination in schools
Death threatens right at the door
Roma, Egyptians and those with
disabilities continue to face various forms of discrimination in
schools. These findings come from
the Commissioner for Protection
from Discrimination, Irma Baraku
who sent a recommendation to
all district education departments
to fully implement the measures
defined by the law for these categories.
The risk of death is standing “at
the door” for 37 Roma families
who live on the streets. “A1Report!” yesterday went to Roma
families living near the axis of the
so-called “Palace with arrows”, a
road segment in the outskirts of
Tirana.
