cumulating a share capital of more than USD 3 billion
and total assets exceeding USD 19 billion.

Europe Leasing, while in the same
year started the Bucharest Mall, first
commercial center built in Romania at

In 2000, the Group has been active
within the banking sector, buying the
Bank for Commerce and Industry
– named afterwards Credit Europe
Bank.
The bank has fastly become well
recognized in Romania due to
CardAvantaj credit card – the first
product especially designed for
shopping in installments, without
interest and offering a cumulative
bonus. Thus, Credit Europe Bank
has become the leader of the cards
market.

a direct investment of Credit
Europe Group N.V., which owns
99.9% of shares. The company
offers tailor-made, efficient and
accessible insurance products.
The company operates all over
Romania, coordinated by the regional
offices in Bucureşti, Timisoara, ClujNapoca, Constanţa, Braşov and Iaşi.
Based on the Freedom of Services
principle, Credit Europe Asigurări is
authorized to sell insurances also
in Holland, Belgium, Germany and
France.
Credit Europe Asigurări is one of the
shareholders of PAID - Insurance Pool
against Natural Disasters.
