LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Louisville City FC will look to make some more noise in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup on Wednesday as head coach James
O’Connor and his players travel to Indianapolis to take on the NASL-side Indy Eleven in a third round matchup. Here are a few things for LouCity
supporters to watch for on Wednesday night.
LouCity came away with a 2-0 victory over Indy last season in a thriller that saw the USL side score two goals in the second period of extra time.
O’Connor’s side looked to be the better team last season, and controlled the game for most of the time. Another 2-0 win would surely satisfy LouCity supporters, and would improve Louisville City’s all-time record against Indy Eleven to an undefeated 4-0-0 (including friendlies).
In LouCity’s first 2016 Open Cup matchup against Detroit City FC, O’Connor selected many of his usual starters to play against the NPSL side.
Through his selection, O’Connor made it clear that he is serious about the Open Cup and does not take it lightly. It will be interesting to see who
plays for LouCity on Wednesday night in such a massive affair — especially since the U.S. Soccer sanctioned tournament only allows five international players per roster.
Playing on the road has not yet been a problem for O’Connor’s squad so far this season, as the team is undefeated away from home. LouCity’s
dedicated travelling fans should help support the players and keep them undefeated in their golden-laced kits.
Louisville City will head back on the road to face Indy Eleven on June 1 (7:30 p.m.) in a Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup fixture. A return to USL play
will see LouCity visit Orlando City B on June 5 before returning to Slugger Field on June 11 to host Wilmington Hammerheads (7:30 p.m.).

CHARLESTON, S.C. — With Charleston Battery’s 29-match unbeaten run on the line in a torrential downpour at MUSC Health Stadium on Saturday, Louisville City FC (7-1-3, 24 points) was unbeatable for the 10th consecutive match in all competitions. First-half goals by George Davis IV and
Man of the Match Kyle Smith shattered Charleston’s two-year home-unbeaten run while a fifth consecutive shutout by goalkeeper Greg Ranjitsingh
and his defense has reached 465 minutes without allowing a goal.
“The first have held two good goals for us, but I think we could always play better,” Louisville City coach James O’Connor said. “By and large, the
result was fair in those conditions, but we know what to work on moving forward. We have big matches ahead, with the Open Cup and Orlando B in
the league on the weekend. This match is behind us now and we need to improve and get ready for the next massive fixture.”
With just three points separating the teams entering the match, LouCity controlled the tempo from the start – registering 15 shots to Charleston’s
five.
After returning home from Charleston, Louisville City will head back on the road to face Indy Eleven on June 1 (7:30 p.m.) in a Lamar Hunt U.S.
Open Cup fixture. A return to USL play will see LouCity visit Orlando City B on June 5 before returning to Slugger Field on June 11 to host Wilmington

soccer club based in Louisville, Kentucky, competing
in the United Soccer League. Louisville City plays
its home matches at Louisville Slugger Fiedl. Upon
joining the league in 2015, the Club finished second
overall in the league in average attendance.

SCOTT GOODWIN (GOALKEEPER)
Goodwin made 87 saves in the regular season through 27 games. The goalkeeper had seven clean sheets
before the midpoint of the season, and didn’t allow more than one goal in a match until the ninth match of the
season in a 3-3 draw with Saint Louis FC. Goodwin started two matches in the U.S. Open Cup, making several key
saves to keep Indy Eleven of the NASL without a goal in the third round, and keeping the Chicago Fire scoreless
for 116 minutes in the fourth round. The 25-year-old allowed just one shot passed him in 210 minutes of play in the
playoffs.
Goodwin joined USL club Louisville City FC on March 16, 2015.
Goodwin signed with NASL club Carolina Rail-hawks on January 29, 2014. He made his debut with the Railhawks on June 14, 2014 in the US Open Cup against Chivas USA.
The keeper made his professional debut in Iceland for IF Hottur where he made 22 starts for the division three
side.
Goodwin played four years of college soccer at the University of North Carolina between 2009 and 2012.
Goodwin was part of four straight ACC Regular Season Championships, the 2011 ACC Tournament Championship,
four straight NCAA Tournament Appearances, three consecutive NCAA College Cup Appearances, and the 2011
NCAA Men’s Division I National Championship.
While at college, Goodwin appeared for USL PDL clubs Reading United AC in 2010 and Carolina Dynamo in 2011
and 2012.
Newnam joined USL club Louisville City FC in January 2016.
Newnam joined the Pittsburgh Riverhounds in 2015 and appeared in 6 matches. Newnam joined the Colorado
Rapids in 2015 and appeared in 1 match.
Newnam signed with USL Pro club Charlotte Eagles in 2013 where he made 54 appearances and scored 4
goals.
Newman played his collegiate career at NCAA Division I Wake Forest. In 2009 he was named a Freshman to

AODHAN QUINN (MIDFIELDER)
Aodhan Quinn returns to Louisville City FC in 2016 after a 2015 sea-son when he smashed in two goals, dished
out one assist and started in 21 games.
Quinn’s debut for Louisville City FC came on May 12, 2015 versus the Wilmington Ham-merheads. In the 40th
minute the 23-year-old midfielder rocketed a left-footed strike off a half-volley from 20-yards out that was destined for the top corner. Two minutes later, the debutant added an assist by laying a pass off to Conor Shanosky
— who blasted the ball into an open net.
His goal at home versus Wilmington could have been a Goal of the Season nominee had it not been for his
free-kick on the road at Tulsa on Aug. 15, that came in at No. 5 on SportsCen-ter’s Top Ten Plays that night.
Quinn’s free kick, curled into the upper right corner and with it solidified it’s place into one of Louisville profes-sional sports’ top moments.
After winning the Goal of the Season, Quinn was the top Twitter trend in Louisville on Dec. 29.
Quinn joined USL club Louisville City FC on May 11, 2015.
Quinn was drafted in the third round of the 2014 MLS SuperDraft by the Philadelphia Union, but wasn’t signed.
He later signed with now Louis-ville City affiliate Orlando City in March of 2014. He was released at the end of the
season due to Orlando’s transition to the MLS.
Quinn played a year of college soccer at Bradley in 2009 before transferring to play at the University of Akron
from 2011-13. While in college, Quinn played for PDL clubs Akron Sum-mit Assault and Seattle Sounders FC U-23.
He made 37 appearances and scored 10 goals.
In 26 games, Shanosky scored the most goals of any Louisville City defensive player: three. His goals versus
Wilm-ington, Toronto FC II, and Wilmington on the road, all were game-winers.
Conor Shanosky was on loan in Richmond for most of the 2014 season. There he played 17 games with the
Kickers and scored a goal in a 3-2 playoff loss to the Harrisburg City Islanders. One of the highlights of 2014 may
have been his goal that came in a road CONCACAF Champi-ons League win over Saprissa.
Shanosky spent 2013 on loan at the USL affili-ate to D.C. United. He spent 14 games with the Kickers and
scored a pair of goals. The defender also made an appearance in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup.
On March 2, 2012 the Fort Lauderdale Strik-ers of the North American Soccer League announced the signing
of Shanosky on a season-long loan. Shanosky found the pitch 28 times that season.
The Harrisburg City Islanders picked up Sha-nosky in 2011 on a season ling loan from D.C. United where he
made two appearances.
Shanosky signed a professional contract with D.C. United on August 13, 2010, after having previously signed
to play soccer for George Mason University. He was one of four players to sign homegrown player contracts
with D.C. United from their academy system.

Tarek Morad joined Louisville City FC on February 19, 2015.
The second-year pro from Chino Hills, Calif. started 26 matches for Louisville and scored two goals.
Both of Morad’s goals came from corner kicks, the first came in a 2-0 win over FC Montreal on June 10 in
Canada. The second goal doubled Louisville’s lead in a huge 3-0 win over the Richmond Kickers on July 4. Morad
played a huge role on a defense that allowed the third fewest goals in the league with the opponents finding the
back of the net just 34 times in the 2015 regular season.
Morad played college soccer at Mt. San Antonio College before he transferred to UC Irvine in 2011.
Morad signed with the Oklahoma City Energy in February of 2014. On February 19, 2015 Tarek joined Louisville City FC.
TAREK MORAD (DEFENDER)
Dacres finished with the third most goals on the team with six. The midfielder’s 52 shots ranked second for
Louisville City FC, as did his 25 shots on target. Louisville City FC did not lose any match that Dacres scored in.
Dacres was signed by Arizona United for the 2014 season. He made 24 appearances in Arizona, scoring three
goals for the team that finished ninth in USL. Arizona made it to the fourth round of the U.S. Open Cup before
falling 2-1 to the LA Galaxy.
Dacres was picked 65th overall in the MLS SuperDraft by the Chicago Fire.
While playing for University of Maryland Bal-timore County, Dacres played for PDL team Jersey Express where
he had two incredible summers. Dacres played a total of 18 games for the Express and scored seven goals.
Dacres played his first year of collegiate soccer at Mercer County Community College before transferring to
UMBC where he would graduat-ed. Dacres was selected to the America East Conference’s First Team, named
the confer-ences Midfielder of the Year, and was selected as the team’s Most Valuable Athlete in his senior
season. Dacres ended his senior year with seven goals in 19 games.

Abend made an immediate impact at Louisville City when his clever back-heel to Charlie Adams led to the
club’s second goal in an opening day win versus Saint Louis FC. Abend suffered an injury in the second match
of the season versus the Richmond Kickers. The midfielder missed more than half the season before making his
return on August 12 in a 5-1 win over the Harrisburg City Islanders. He finished the season with five starts and
nine games with 432 minutes played.
Abend played four years with Hapoel Ironi Ris-hon LeZion of the Liga Leumit in Israel before coming to Louisville. Over the course of those four years, Abend appeared in 84 games and scored five goals from the midfield
position. He scored two goals last season with the club in 37 games played. Abend’s performances in the last
two years earned him recognition by the Israeli Premier League club, F.C. Ashdod. However, before he ever took
the pitch for Ashdod, he signed a deal with Louisville City FC.
The midfielder went on a season loan to Hapoel Kfar Saba in 2010 where he made one appear-ance.
Abend made his professional debut when he made his first and only appearance of the sea-son for his former
youth team, Maccabi Netanya in 2009.Abend played for the U-19 Israeli National Team in 2008.
The Tottenham Hotspur Academy product looked sharp in the 2015 preseason, scoring the game winner in
a 3-2 victory over Indiana University in the club’s first preseason match. After an injury, Lancaster spent most
of 2015 in rehab, and worked out all summer to prepare for his 2016 campaign with Louisville City.
Lancaster started his career in the Tottenham Hotspur Academy and made his debut for the English Premier League team under former Spurs head coach, Harry Redknapp. In 2014 the 6-foot striker went on-loan to
Stevenage where he connected on a wonder goal from 40-yards out. Lancaster went on to St. Albans City for
another loan stint. He made for appearances and scored twice for the Saints.

Rasmussen immedi-ately cemented a place in Louisville City FC history when he scored the first ever
goal for the new club on March 28, 2015 in a season opening 2-0 win over Saint Louis FC. The Dane finished
second in the team in goals with eight, and Louisville won all eight games he scored in. Rasmussen scored
the most penalty kicks with two and also dished out four assists in his 25 games played last season.
Rasmussen signed with USL side Louisville City FC on February 12, 2015.
Rasmussen came up through the youth acad-emy of Nordsjaellan, before moving to Danish second-division BSV in 2013.
MAGNUS RASMUSSEN (MIDFIELDER)
McCabe played in 27 of the 28 regular season matches and started 17 of them. The midfielder scored four
goals all of which came on the road. He scored in three of Louisville’s final four away matches in 2015. His goal
versus Toronto FC II on May 16, 2015 gave Louisville the lead in the second half, and his late equalizer in Tulsa on
August 15, 2015 helped LouCity escape with a point. McCabe finished the season third on the team in shots on
on goal with 16, and his nine points were good for fifth.
Before signing with Louisville City, McCabe made his semi-professional debut with Chat-tanooga FC. McCabe
helped lead CFC to the NPSL Finals versus New York Red Bulls II iN 2014.
McCabe played collegiate soccer for Young Harris College in Georgia where he set a num-ber of offensive
records. His records of goals scored and total points were topped only by his Louisville City FC teammate, Ilija
Ilic. He also played with new LouCity signing Paco Craig at Young Harris.

Kaye joined USL club Louisville City FC on January 13, 2016.
Kaye signed with Toronto FC II in 2015 where he appeared in 22 matches.
Kaye joined the Wilmington Hammerheads on loan from the TFC Academy in 2014 where he made seven
appearances and scored two goals.
Kaye began his semi-professional career in 2013 with the TFC Academy where he made nine appearances and scored a goal.
Kaye played his collegiate career at York Univer-sity. During the 2012-13 seasons, he was the recipient of
numerous accolades including being named OUA Rookie of the Year and to the CIS second-team All-Canadian and OUA first-team All-Stars.
MARK-ANTHONY KAYE (MIDFIELDER)
In his rookie season, Ranjitsingh started one regular season match: A 2-0 loss on the road to
the Charleston Battery on September 12.
Ranjitsingh got his first start for Louisville City on May 20 versus Lansing United in the second
round of the U.S. Open Cup. The Canadian out of Mercer University made several key saves to preserve the clean sheet and help Louisville City FC advance with a 1-0 win. The goalkeeper played
in the second half of Louisville City’s 3-1 win over Orlando City SC on August 25, and allowed just
one goal.

In his first season play-ing professionally, Ilija Ilic played nearly 600 minutes for Louisville City. The forward
scored his first goal in a 4-0 win over the Harrisburg City Islanders on September 2, 2015. His header late in the
match ended up being the last regular season goal for the club at Slugger Field in 2015. Out of his seventeen
shots, Ilic put eight of them on frame.

Ilic began his semi-professional career in 2014 with the Ocala Stampede where he made 13 appearances while
scoring eight goals.
Ilic played his collegiate career at NCAA Division II Young Harris College with current LouCity teammates Niall
McCabe and Paco Craig. He left Young Harris holding the school record for most points in a season. In 2014 he
was voted the NCAA Division 2 Player of the Year, finishing second in all of NCAA Division II in goals scored with
27.
ILIJA ILIC (FORWARD)
Reynolds made several key plays in his 16 ap-pearances. Most nota-bly, a game-saving tack-le in the playoff
match versus the Charleston Battery in Louisville City’s 2-0 extra time win on Oct. 3. Reynolds played a number of
minutes in Louisville City FC’s U.S. Open Cup loss to the Chicago Fire at Toyota Park in Bridgeview, Ill. The center
back made several big plays in that match as well to help keep the Fire off the scoreboard and force extra time.
After VSI Tampa Bay folded in November 2013, Reynolds signed for FH of the Úrvalsdeild in Iceland after a successful trial. He made his debut for FH on May 18, 2014 against IBV. While playing in Iceland, Sean received Europa
League experience with FH-Ingor.
In March 2013, Reynolds signed with new expansion franchise VSI Tampa Bay for their first season in USL. On
April 2, 2013 Reynolds made his debut for VSI Tampa Bay against the Los Angeles Blues in which he came on in the
77th minute as VSI won the match 1–0. He then scored his first professional goal later that month on April 21, 2013
against the Los Angeles Blues in which he scored in the 53rd minute as VSI won the game 3–2.
Reynolds first met James O’Connor while playing for Orlando City’s U-23 team. Reynolds made 14 appearances
for the Lions during the summer of 2012.
The start of a professional career for Reynolds was his two games he played for the Thunder Bay Chill in the
2011 season.

After three years with the UCLA Bruins, Hoffman accepted a Generation Adidas contract from Major League
Soccer. The Philadelphia Union selected Hoffman with the 13th overall pick in the 2012 MLS SuperDraft, making
Hoffman the first player from Alabama to be drafted in the first round of the SuperDraft. He made his debut with
Philadelphia on Mar. 31, 2012 against the Vancouver Whitecaps.
Before the 2013 season, the Los Angeles Gal-axy acquired Hoffman from Philadelphia. After two years with
the Galaxy - including the 2014 MLS Cup-winning side with Landon Donovan and then-MVP Robbie Keane - Hoffman joined the Houston Dynamo and was then loaned to the USL’s Colorado Springs Switchbacks.
On Dec. 28, 2015, Louisville City announced Hoffman’s arrival.
A Birmingham, Alabama native, Chandler Hoff-man played his college soccer at the University of California,
Los Angeles. During his time with the Bruins, Hoffman was named a semifinalist for the Missouri Athletic Club’s
Hermann Trophy. He was also named a National Soccer Coaches Association of America third team All-American, first team NSCAA All-Far West selection, first team All-Pac-12 honoree, second team CoSIDA Academic
All-American, first team Academic All-District and Pac-12 All-Academic.
Craig started his career playing in West Ham’s youth academy. After his time with the Premier League club’s
youth squad, Craig moved to the U.S. to play colle-giate soccer with Young Harris College while playing for
PDL side Ocala Stampede in the summer — playing alongside current LouCity forward Ilija Ilic. Midfielder Niall
McCabe also played with Craig and Ilic at Young Harris.
Craig, a 6-foot-2 junior defender, was named to the NSCAA All-America team for the third consecutive year
in 2015. Craig became only the second Peach Belt Conference player to win the PBC Freshman of the Year and
Player of the Year awards during his career.
The London, England, native was also a leader on a defense that led the Peach Belt with seven shutouts and
finished second in the league with 22 goals allowed and a 1.04 goals-against average.
In three seasons, Craig scored 17 goals, assisted on 14 others for 48 points in 57 career matches.
While with the Ocala Stampede, Craig helped his team win the Southeast Conference of the Premier Development League and was named to the 2015 All-Conference team.

As a senior with the Saints of Holy Cross College, Son earned 2015 NAIA Men’s All-Mideast Region first team
honors. The Hoe-in, South Korea, native was the leader of a Saints defense that totaled nine clean sheets in 2015.
Son, who was named to the first team All-CCAC, provided an offensive presence as well. The 24-year-old scored
a goal, and dished-out a pair of assists as a senior. The Saints made it to the semifinals of the CCAC tournament
before falling to one of the nation’s top-20 teams at Toyota Park.
Playing in a different role as a junior, Son started all 20 games and scored five times. In critical matches versus
Cornerstone and St. Xavier, the South Korean scored the game-winning goals. The latter, being coming off of a
free kick from 20 yards out less than two minutes into extra time, propelling the Saints to conference semifinals.
Son finished his collegiate career with six goals, six assists, and 18 points, to go along with his postseason
accolades.
JONGHYUN SON (DEFENDER)
Montano appeared in 23 matches during Louis-ville City FC’s inaugural season in 2015, starting in 20 of them.
The attack-minded fullback distributed an impres-sive six assists during the Club’s first campaign.
Montano appeared in 19 matches with 17 starting assignments while contributing 30 shots - third most on
the team. He played 1,539 minutes.

Davis joined the Rich-mond Kickers in 2014 where he made 53 appearances and 19 goals.
Davis signed with the Los Angeles Blues in 2012 where he appeared in 39 matches and scored 8 goals.
Davis joined the Dutch Lions in 2010. He appeared in 16 matches and scored 5 goals for the club.
Davis began his collegiate career at NCAA Division I Bowling Green State University and transferred to NCAA
Division I University of Ken-tucky prior to his junior year. During his college years, Davis also played with the
Cleveland Internationals in the USL Premier Development League.
GEORGE DAVIS IV (MIDFIELDER)
Smith’s journey to Louisville City started back in December 2015 when the Transylvania University alumnus
attended LouCity’s open tryouts. When the Club hosted the open-tryout on Dec. 19, the Cin-cinnati, Ohio,
native got the attention O’Connor and his technical staff.
Smith was invited to the trialist camp in Febru-ary. Smith made his presence known and rose above the large
group of trialists during the four days at the Springstreet Indoor Facility in New Albany, Ind.
Smith scored 18 goals, five of them being game winners, and also dished out eight assists in his final season
with Transylvania University. After a quality career playing NCAA Division III NCAA soccer where Smith was
named the HCAC Of-fensive MVP in 2012, the forward sets his sights on an professional playing career.

Doublette, a 6-foot-2 striker who came to the U.S. from Haiti in 2007, won the 2013 NCAA Di-vision II National
Cham-pionship with Southern New Hampshire. That team that finished 22-1-1. It was just a part of distinguished
collegiate career for Doublette. The Haitian finished his three years at SNHU with 23 goals and 13 assists after
transferring from the University of Rio Grande. In his final season of collegiate soccer, Doublette led his team to
a NCAA Regional final, hitting the back of the net 15 times in 20 games. Doublette also played with NPSL side,
Seacoast United while in college.
Doublette was a standout in LouCity’s offseason trialist camp back in early February.
KENNY DOUBLETTE (FORWARD)
In November of 2013, DelPiccolo was claimed by New England in the Waiver Draft, but he never made an
appear-ance with the first team. Between 2014-15, the Wheat Ridge, Colo., native appeared in 47 USL matches —
for Arizona United and Charlotte Independence — with a pair of goals scored.
He started 87 matches for the University of Louisville Cardinals. DelPiccolo helped lead Louisville to the 2010
NCAA College Cup final with five career goals. He was recog-nized as a first-team NSCAA All-Great Lakes honoree, BIG EAST All-Rookie Team member and second-team Soccer America freshman All-American. His 23 career
assists – including six in three separate seasons – still rank as the University’s all-time record. He also played
alongside Louisville native and current New England Revolution defender Andrew Farrell.

Lubahn, a star winger out of Wake Forest University entering his second year as a professional, is coming off
of a rookie season with the Harrisburg City Islanders in which he played in nine matches. the 24-year-old assisted
on three goals for the Islanders. One came in LouCity’s 5-1 win in Harrisburg.
Lubahn scored his first professional goal versus FC Montreal on Sept. 16 in a must-win game to keep their
playoff hopes alive. Lubahn put the game away when he dribbled into the penalty area and slotted the ball past
the keeper to put the Islanders up 4-0.
The Erie, Pa., native joins his former Wake For-est teammate, Ben Newnam. He was selected to the All-ACC
Academic Team in his red-shirt senior season in 2013. During that season, Lubahn scored the game-winning
goals versus Monmouth and Boston College. He also assist-ed on the equalizing goal that ultimately ended in a
Wake Forest victory over VCU.
Lubahn started every game of the 2009 season and ran consecutive starts streak to 43 games in 2010. In his
freshman season, the winger started every game and finished third on the team with 20 points.
Before signing with the Islanders in 2015, Lu-bahn went on-trial with the Portland Timbers of Major League
Soccer.

James O’Connor, former Orlando
City Player/Coach, is the Louisville City
FC head coach. He’s an Irish profession-al footballer and played midfield
for Orlando City. He joined English club
Stoke City in 1996 after being spotted
by the club’s Irish base scouts. He
made his debut in the 1998–99 season
before becoming a regular in the team
in 1999–2000.He moved to West Bromwich Albion in summer 2003 and made
his debut in the 4–1 defeat to Walsall.
He spent a successful three-month
loan spell with Burnley in 2004–05.
On January 10, 2012, O’Connor
signed with American third-tier side
Orlando City of USL. In his first season
with Orlando they broke almost every
record in league history. They scored
the most goals, conceded the fewest
and set a new points record tally for
the league.
O’Connor has won the USL regular
season championship and the USL
championship with Orlando. While
in England, he was named player of
the year at Stoke City in 2000. He has
played in over 500 professional games
in England and has been promoted three times. He is one of, if not
the youngest to hold the UEFA Pro
License, the highest coaching license
in the world.

Daniel Byrd was on staff at Orlando
City SC’s youth squad. Before his year
in Orlando, Byrd played soccer for
Johnson University in Tennessee from
2000-04 where he was the captain and
leading scorer. Immediately following
college, he pursued mission work in
Africa and Brazil, using soccer as a platform for community outreach.
After a season with USL Second
Division team, Cleveland City Stars, he
devoted himself to coaching full-time.
From 2009-12 Byrd coached at Grace
Christian Academy, FC Alliance and
the University of Tennessee Men’s club
soccer team.
From there he became a graduate
assistant at St. Catharine College
in Springfield, Ken-tucky which was
followed by an enjoyable two seasons
as head coach of the Buxmont Torch in
Philadelphia, Penn.
THABANE SUTU
GOALKEEPER COACH
Sutu played for Arsenal in Lesotho,
South Africa. He spent four years with
Al-Ahly, and was part of the team that
won the African Cup in 1993.
Born and raised in the Kingdom of
Lesotho, Sutu was captain of the national team from 1994 to 1997. During
that time he also won four championships. One Arab League in 1995 and
three straight Egyptian League titles
from 1994 to 1996.
Thabane Sutu brings another local
connection to the coaching staff.
Sutu has been the technical director
at United 1996 Futbol Club here in
Lou-isville. He started there in 2001
after spending several years playing for
many well-known clubs from around
the world.
