March 20, 21, and 22 are the days for the Peninsula Quilt
Guild’s annual guilt show. This year’s theme is “Quilting at the
Beach”. The show will be held at the Columbia Pacific Heritage
Museum (formally the Ilwaco Heritage Museum) from 10:00
a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday and noon until 4:00 p.m.
on Sunday. There will be a special show of quilts made by Janet King, quilt
designer and teacher. Before coming to the Peninsula, Janet
taught junior high math and taught gifted program in the California school system. She has had several one person shows
in Grants Pass, Oregon and Ilwaco Washington. She has also
entered many quilt shows around the country.
Pacific Chapter Order of the Eastern
Star meets on the second Thursday
of each month except July and August
7:30 PM at 205 E Spruce St. Ilwaco,
WA. Our next meeting is March 12th,
