• Ramps from street to beach at 83rd, 88th, 92nd, 95th, 101st, 103rd,
105th, 111th, 114th and 119th Streets
• Access from beach entrance to water’s edge at 88th, 95th and 119th Streets
• There is access to pavilions at 88th and 101st Streets, and there is access
from the pavilions to the beach at those locations

Locations:
• A total of 6 chairs are available at Beach Tag Office at 95th Street & Beach
• Beach Tag Office hours are 10 am to 4 pm

• Access ramps to boardwalk at Schellenger Ave and Rio Grande
• At Cresse Ave (beyond boardwalk), there is direct access to the beach
• Beach Patrol will provide transport from the boardwalk onto the soft sand
for person with disabilities and 1 companion after 11am and will provide
return transport to the boardwalk before 4pm

• Use of the surf chair is restricted to those individuals weighing less than
three hundred (300) pounds
• An attendant must be present when the chair is in use
• The attendant must not undertake tasks which exceed his/her physical ability
• At no time, and under no circumstances is the surf chair to be placed in
the water beyond a depth of six inches.

• All are located at the Beach Patrol Headquarters at Lincoln Ave & Ocean
• There is No Charge for use of chairs

GENERAL GUIDELINES
FOR SAFE SURF CHAIR USE
• Chairs are available on a first come, first served basis
• Reservations are strongly encouraged (609-522-8258 or 609-846-2054)
but will be accepted no more than 2 days prior to date(s) requested
• Chairs may be reserved for more than 1 day at a time, but must be
returned each night and must stay at all times in Wildwood on the beach
• 2 forms of ID are required to reserve chairs
ACCESSIBLE REST ROOMS
• Accessible rest rooms (boardwalk level) are located at Glenwood, Youngs,
and Leaming Aves
• At Schellenger Ave (beach level), there is a ramp from boardwalk to beach
and comfort station
• Additionally, at each of the 7 beach walkways, there are accessible portable restrooms

• Reservations are encouraged; to reserve a chair, contact
the Recreation Division at the Sports & Civic Center
(609-525-9304) between 9 am and 5 pm
• Surf chairs can be reserved for up to 2 weeks or can be
used on a daily basis
• Failure to pick up the chair within 24 hours of the
initial reservation date will result in the cancellation
of your reservation
• Both child and adult size chairs are offered
