February 3, 2016 Dear St. Anne Parents, St. Anne School Grandparents, Parents, and Students…simply “THE BEST!” That was the feeling and the reality of today’s Grandparents’ Day. We welcomed over 150 grandparents to our school for a morning of classroom activities and lunch. Special thanks to Ann Nip and Toni Ellen Kleppin, our Grandparents’ Day event chairs, as well as more than 15 parents who helped to make this day a very memorable one. The lunch was delicious and our grandparents sent their thanks to all who worked on this event. Thanks also to Wai and Min Min Wong for helping and printing all of our Grandparents’ photos today. We know that the students and their grandparents will treasure these memories for years to come! Thank you one and all! MISSION COLLECTION LANTERN PROJECT This quarter’s mission collection will benefit the Lantern Project of San Francisco. This organization targets people struggling with poverty and gives a hand-­‐up through education and resources. Sr. Rosanne, who taught English here at St. Anne, now works with the Lantern Project to teach women to read and write in English. We encourage our students to donate to this worthy cause in the month of February. Students who donate will receive a lantern to decorate our school. More information is at www.thelanternproject.org. Thank you for the support. NEXT PARENT TOUR – FEBRUARY 18 We invite all interested parties to take a tour while school is in session to see our school in action. For tour dates, visit our school homepage at www.stanne.com. STAR AUCTION GALA – MARCH 19 Save the date!!! Please join us for our 6th annual “Star Auction Gala” Saturday, March 19 5:00-­‐10:30 in the Moriarty Hall. For tickets log onto https://stannesf.ejoinme.or/star2016. Featured at this event will be Silent and Live Auction guest auctioneer Larry Krueger from KNBR, Fund A Need followed by DJ and Dancing as well as Hot and Cold Food Stations and Cocktails.
