A. O. Retzloff Rites At Binford J Mrs. Retzlaff ' Rites Sundaf were Binford, N. D.-Services Tuesday at Binforcl for Albert O. Retzloff, resident of this area 78 years. Rev. W. C. Laatz officiated. Six gr'andsons were pallbearers. S. J. Quam funeral home of Cooperstown was in charge. Mr. Retzloff died Friday in his home. A clerk at Standarct Oil company, Mr. Roen was stricken while at work and taken home. He died there before an ambulance arrived. Death was be- fr lieved due to a heart ailment. He K had been employed by Standard sl Oil company since 1926. - Born at Portland, N. D., Feb. 23, 1896, Mr. Roen attended high 2t 'school there and Dakota Business college here. Roberts was bortr at St. Mary's Ontario, Septe,miber 1.6, 1g68. She came to Dakota wilh her folks August 11, 1882. They establiohed e farm home one ,and one-half mil€s northwest of Hannaford. This was her homc rrntil November 16. 1ggg. when srhe was united in ma"rria€'e to J. C. Ving. They moved to West Superior to live, but he took tJrphoid fever and passed away 18 months Iater. The young widow returned to her parcntal home at Hannaford. On January 5, 1905, she was married to Chas. Roberts. The family moved to Dakota Territory in 1881 and homesteaded in Colvin l'ownship, Eddy County. Mr. Rude had farmed in that area most of his life. He was active in township and community affairs. In 1902,he married Anna Borgerson, who tlied in 1935. Surviving are five daughters and six sons. The daughters are Mrs. George Messner, Hamar; Mrs, Iver Gjestvang, Warwick.
