DATBLYGIAD DWYIEITHRWYDD YN Y CYFNOD SYLFAEN
Crëwyd yr adnoddau hyn i gefnogi athrawon y Cyfnod Sylfaen i ddatblygu dwyieithrwydd ymhob
un o’r Ardaloedd Dysgu. Fel y cyflwynir patrymau iaith, gall athrawon a chynorthwywyr dysgu
ddefnyddio’r llyfrau a’r adnoddau eraill i atgyfnerthu’r dysgu’r mewn ystod o gyd-destunau
cyfarwydd, gan helpu sicrhau profiad o gwricwlwm y Cyfnod Sylfaen trwy gyfrwng y Gymraeg.
Mae pob pecyn yn cynnwys:
• llyfr stori sydd yn cynnwys dwy fersiwn o’r un stori - mae’r lluniau a’r stori’r un fath ond
gwahaniaethir y patrymau iaith - i ddarparu ar gyfer holl ddisgyblion y Cyfnod Sylfaen
• llawlyfr staff dwyieithog sydd yn cynnwys cyfleoedd ar gyfer syniadau traws gwricwlaidd
i ddatblygu patrymau iaith a geirfa estynedig yn y saith Ardal Ddysgu
• CD gyda chaneuon a ‘manuscript’
• gweithgareddau rhyngweithiol CDRom i gynnwys y storïau a gweithgareddau
• gêmau a gêmau bwrdd
Mae pob llyfr stori:
(mae 12 llyfr A3 i gyd)
• yn hyrwyddo un ardal datblygiad penodol
• yn helpu disgyblion i ganolbwyntio ar un prif batrwm iaith ac yn rhoi cyfleoedd
i ymarfer y patrwm hwnnw mewn ystod o feysydd y cwricwlwm
• yn hyrwyddo patrymau iaith estynedig.
BILINGUAL DEVELOPMENT IN THE FOUNDATION PHASE
These resources are designed to support Foundation Phase teachers in developing bilingualism in all
areas of Learning. As target language patterns are introduced, teachers and learning assistants can use
the books and other resources to consolidate pupils’ learning in a range of familiar contexts, helping to
secure their experience of the Foundation Phase curriculum through the medium of Welsh.
Each pack contains:
• a story book containing two versions of the same story - the pictures and storylines are
identical but the language patterns are differentiated to cater for all pupils in the Foundation Phase
• a bilingual staff handbook containing opportunities for cross curricular ideas to develop
extended language patterns and vocabulary in the seven Areas of Learning
• a CD with songs and manuscript
• a CD Rom with the story and activities
• games and board games
Each storybook:
(there are 12 - A3 books in total)
• promotes one specific area of development
• helps pupils to focus on one main language pattern and provides
opportunities to practise that pattern in a range of curricular areas
• promotes extended language patterns

DATBLYGIAD CREADIGOL
CREATIVE DEVELOPMENT
1 Peintio - Disgyblion yn creu llun glan y môr o’r cof. Maen nhw’n cofio bod y môr llawn tonnau, rhai ag ewyn gwyn.
Mae hefyd gwahanol liwiau a phatrymau i’r môr y gallant eu dangos yn eu lluniau. Maen nhw’n cymysgu lliwiau’r
môr ac yn arbrofi gyda gwahanol strociau brwsh e.e. rholio, dabio, tasgu. Maen nhw’n creu moroedd gwyllt, stormus
neu dawel. Maen nhw’n cymharu’u cynnyrch â gwaith arlunwyr Cymru o’r môr.
Painting - Pupils create a seaside picture from memory. They recall that the sea is full of waves, some of which have
white foam. The sea also has many different colours/shades and patterns that they can show in their paintings. They mix
sea colours and on their practice paper experiment with different brush strokes e.g. rolling, dabbing, splattering. They
create angry, stormy, or gentle, calm seas. They compare their paintings with those by Welsh artists who have drawn
or painted the sea.
2 Gwneud casgliad o gerrig mân a’u trefnu o’r goleuaf i’r tywyllaf eu lliw neu o rai garw i rai llyfn. Gall y disgyblion
greu cerfluniau syml o gasgliadau o gerrig mân gan adeiladu i fyny a chynnal y cerrig mân â thywod.
Make a collection of pebbles and arrange them in order from light to dark or rough to smooth. The pupils can create
simple sculptures out of pebble collections, building upwards and supporting the pebbles with sand.
3 Disgyblion i gasglu cerrig mân o’r traeth. Edrych ar liwiau, gwead a phatrwm.
Gwneud llun o siapiau’r cerrig mân gyda sialc ar ddarn mawr o bapur glas/du a pheintio pob carreg mewn lliw
gwahanol neu arlliw.Wedyn gwneud y paent yn drwchus trwy gymysgu tywod neu flawd ayyb i greu patrwm a
gwead i’r cerrig.
Pupils collect pebbles from the beach. Look at colours, textures and patterns.
Draw the pebble shapes in chalk on a large sheet of blue/black paper and paint each pebble in a different colour or
shade of colour. Then thicken the paint with sand, flour etc. to create pattern and texture in the pebbles.
4 Disgyblion i wneud cerflun môr fel dosbarth o’r pethau megis cregyn a cherrig mân maen nhw wedi’u casglu.
Pupils make a class sea sculpture from objects, shells and pebbles that they have collected.
5 Gwneud ‘pysgodyn enfys’. Defnyddio papur sgleiniog/secwins ayyb i’w addurno a’i dorri allan.
Make a ‘rainbow fish’. Use shiny paper/sequins etc to decorate and cut.
6 Dylunio bwydlenni ar gyfer ‘Caffi Traeth’ - eu lamineiddio a’u defnyddio mewn chwarae rôl.
Dylunio hufen iâ, sioe bypedau Punch a Judy, cadair traeth.
Design menus for ‘Beach Café ‘- laminate and use for role- play.
Design ice-cream sundaes, Punch and Judy puppet show, design deck-chair.
7 Creu tlysau crog o greaduriaid y môr gan ddefnyddio toes halen.
Make sea-creature pendants using salt dough.
8 Arsylwi. Sut mae siâp blaen cwch yn effeithio ar gyflymder y cwch yn y dŵr. Gan ddefnyddio darnau fflat o bren
neu bolystyren creu blaen sgwâr, blaen crwn, blaen â phwynt. Llunio a gwneud cragen llong. Disgyblion wedyn i
lunio a gwneud eu cragen eu hunain.
Observe. How the shape of the bow of the boat affects the boat’s speed in water. Using flat pieces of wood or
polystyrene with a square bow; a rounded bow; a pointed bow. Drawing and making a hull. The pupils then draw and
make their own hulls.
9 Defnyddio lleisiau i ddynwared synau - moroedd tawel/gwyllt, gwylanod; ac offer taro’r i gyfansoddi cerddoriaeth
môr stormus a cherddoriaeth môr tawel.
Use voices to imitate sounds of a calm/rough sea, seagulls; and percussions to compose stormy sea music and
calm sea music.
10 Canu gwahanol ganeuon a hwiangerddi Cymraeg am y môr e.e. ‘Fuoch chi ‘rioed yn morio?’
Sing a variety of Welsh sea songs and nursery rhymes ‘Fuoch chi ‘rioed yn morio?’
11 Dawnsio creadigol - ‘Cantre’r Gwaelod’ neu ‘Pysgod dan y môr’ gan ganolbwyntio ar siapiau’r corff.
Creative dance - ‘Cantre’r Gwaelod’ or ‘Fish under the sea’. Focusing on body shapes.

I do not walk,

But swim backwards and forwards in the water.

And I like turning
High like this in the water;
Jumping and swimming,
Swimming and jumping
Turning zig-zag like this in the water.

Fish in the net
Pupils need to know their verbs or have access to a list of verbs.
•
Half the group make a circle (the net).
•
The other half are the fish
•
The net players secretively decide on a verb then raise hands high in a circle.
•
The fish run in and out of the circle while the ‘net’ players in turn think of a verb.
•
When the agreed verb is reached, arms are dropped to catch any fish inside the ‘net’.
•
These players join the circle an others from the ‘net’ players are chosen in join the fish.
A different verb is chosen and the game starts again.
