those of you who have joined us under
the new Individual Public category.
For the first time we have made it
compulsory for each running team
to include at least one female runner.
We have also made this year’s run
more accessible by increasing run
allocations to the Youth and Young
Executives by giving out special
passes through the Bursa Bull Charge
bus engagement activities.
As participants here in the Bursa Bull
Charge we all have the opportunity to
enjoy a day of friendly competition with
enthusiasm and fun, while keeping our
thoughts firmly on those who need our
assistance.
MESSAGE
FROM
THE CEO,
BURSA
MALAYSIA
BERHAD
Dear Capital Market Family,
02
A very warm welcome to yet another
Bursa Bull Charge Capital Market run
this year!
I am proud to see the capital market
out in full force to be part of this
exciting day, the day the capital market
runs for others. Despite a challenging
year, it is heartening to see all of you
come out today and support a cause
beyond your own.
Now in its second year, the Bursa
Bull Charge has seen an increase
in runners representing a broad
spectrum of the Capital Market
including Public Listed Companies,
Investment Banks and Broker Firms,
related Government Agencies and
Ministries, Capital Market Intermediaries
and members of the Media.
As further acknowledgement of the
inclusiveness of the Bursa Bull Charge
I am pleased to welcome even more
Women runners this year, as well as
runners representing SME’s, and also
Our collective contributions and efforts
towards making the Bursa Bull Charge
a success helps to bring benefits to
those in our community who need it
most. This is by way of financial
support which can change lives and
empower people to be more productive
members of society.
Indeed the Capital Market is in a
unique position to affect positive
social change. The Bursa Bull Charge
#run4others event is an occasion
when we can all come together to
promote inclusiveness, sustainability
and financial literacy amongst the
people in our community.
To all of you who have joined us today,
from those in leadership positions to
young executives, to those who are
joining us for the first or second time,
well done, and I expect to see all of
you back again next year.
For now, let us enjoy the day and
make it a memorable one.
Dato’ Tajuddin Atan
#run4others
INTRODUCTION
The Bursa Bull Charge returns fully
recharged. After an unforgettable
inaugural run in 2014 the Bursa Bull
Charge is back and geared up to
renew its claim as the best capital
market run in Malaysia. Last year more than 1,300 runners
charged through the streets of Kuala
Lumpur to raise RM1.37 million worth
of funds for charities whose causes
include economic sustainability
among disadvantaged communities,
support for entrepreneurs and the
improvement of financial literacy.
Expectations are running high. This
year the Bursa Bull Charge will flood
the streets with more runners, more die-hard supporters, more sounds, more colour and more energy than ever
before, all in the name of fostering a
sustainable and inclusive marketplace. The run will follow Kuala Lumpur’s
Capital Market Trail, a route through
the Central Business District that
passes the headquarters of many
Capital Market players in our
community, a reminder of the
sustainability of our marketplace.
