E-WASTE DISPOSAL
Due to ongoing changes pertaining to NJDEP E-Waste disposal
regulations, are effective
OCTOBER 1, 2011, Monroe Township Department of Public
Works will no longer collect TV’s curbside.
In addition to all computers and monitors,
all intact TV’s must be dropped off at
Public Works located at 1040 Glassboro Road, Williamstown
during the hours:
Mon.–Fri. between 7am– 3pm.
Scrap parts from dismantled TV’s and computers, including, but not
limited to TV/monitor tubes, plastic casings, crushed glass, etc.,
ARE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR THE MUNICIPAL E-WASTE RECYCLING
PROGRAM. Public Works is not permitted by the NJDEP regulations to
accept this type of material.
If tubes from TV’s or monitors are brought to the MTDPW by a “scrapper”
without the covering and all their parts, they will be rejected.

of paper and old documents, not to exceed 75 lbs.
Old magazines and newspapers and phone books will not
be accepted. Put in these items in your recyclable.
Paper clips, ringed binders or large binder books cannot be
shredded.

The Bookmarks
The Bookmarks meet in the Library at 7:00 p.m. on the last
Tuesday of each month except for December. All adults are
welcome to read along with us and attend the discussion.
No registration is required. A reading list is available in the
Library and on the Library’s website:

The Bookworms
The Bookworms Book Club is a new reading group for adults
that meets at 1:00 on the first Thursday of each month
starting on May 3rd. All are welcome to read along with us
and attend our discussions in the library meeting room.

The Monroe Township Food Pantry is located in
the lower level of the Pfeiffer Center.
Hours of operation every Friday 9:30-11:30am
1:00-4:00pm
The Pantry is always in need of non-perishable
foods like pasta, red sauce, macaroni and
cheese, stews, pork and beans, peanut butter,
jelly, cereal, soup, tuna fish, chicken in a can,
canned fruit etc.
We can also use baby formula, baby food, juices
and snack foods for the kids.
Food and clean clothing donations are accepted
8:00AM-4:30PM. MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY.

Effective January 10, 2011, all resident’s will receive two
odd stops/bulk waste collections per month.
Odd stops/bulk waste
must be scheduled for collection.

There will be NO automatic
collection the day after regular
garbage collection.
