Hanum an is the son of Vayu, the w in d -g o d ; and Bheema is the son of Kunti, born by the grace of Vayu. T h u s the tw o , can be considered brothers. H anum an is described as a Chira n jivi an im m ortal. T h is explains h o w the m eeting betw een the t w o w a s possible, th o u g h Bheema w a s born m any centuries later.
