s Eagle Landing Community & Golf Newsletter March & April 2015 EASTER EGGSTRAVAGANZA 2014 COMMUNITY GARAGE SALE Saturday, April 4th 1pm - 3pm Athletic Center Field Complimentary Join us for the 9th annual Eagle Landing Easter Celebrations. We will have the entertaining Easter egg hunt separated by age groups throughout the amenity property as well as the Little Ones Petting Zoo, face painting, games, light snacks and refreshments. We are also adding a 6 pony carousel this year! The Easter Bunny will be in attendance for some great photo opportunities. Saturday, April 18th 8am - 2pm $5 Registration Fee Individual garage sales will be permitted this date only - provided your address is registered with the Athletic Center. We’ll place signage throughout OakLeaf and along the Branan Field service roads as well as advertising on social media/craigslist. An ‘official’ balloon to mark your mailbox will be handed out at the Athletic Center beginning at 7am the morning of the sale and sale maps with registered homes clearly marked will be handed out near the entrance starting at 7:45am. Registrations received after 5pm on April 16th will not appear on the map being handed out. EASTER BASKET DELIVERIES Sunday, April 5th 8am - 10am $30 per basket This is such a special surprise every year when the Easter Bunny makes rounds to your house for a special Easter basket delivery. The baskets are geared towards toddlers (3 & up) and kids (ages 4 - 11). Advanced sign up and payment are required no later than Monday, March 30th. Stop by or call the Athletic Center to sign up, 904-291-4343. VOLUNTEERS IN POLICE SERVICE The V.I.P.S. program is a volunteer program that allows adult Clay County residents the opportunity to assist their community by assisting the Clay County Sheriffs Office. Duties range in difficulty (clerical, community relations, etc) in nature and opportunities vary across all three divisions of the Clay County Sheriff ’s Office. Our few volunteers within Eagle Landing could always use more of you to be able to provide more patrols. If interested in an application, please contact Jim Moore at [email protected]. Saturday, April 18th “Alexander & the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day” Alexander’s day begins with gum stuck in his hair, followed by more calamities. However, he finds little sympathy from his family and begins to wonder if bad things only happen to him, his mom, dad, brother and sister - who all find themselves living through their own terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day. As we continue to get busier, please remember a few things; always fill your divots on the course, fix your ball marks on the greens and rake the bunkers you hit your ball into. The Pro Circuit consists of Futures, Challenger, and Tour Events on the USTA Pro Circuit. Our event is the only professional tennis tournament in Jacksonville. Over the years, players from over 20 countries come to Eagle landing to compete for valuable ATP World Ranking Points. Many of these players go on to play in the US Open at the end of the year, and then on to successful professional careers. If you haven’t registered your cart at the Athletic Center, please take a moment and do so. - Drivers must be 14 years of age or older. - Golf carts are prohibited from being operated on any sidewalk. - Golf carts must be equipped with efficient brakes, reliable steering apparatus, safe tires, a rearview mirror, and red reflector warning devices on both the front and rear. - If operated at night, carts must be equipped with headlights, brake lights, turn signals, and a windshield. - Operators can receive a citation against their license (or future license) for violations of Section 316.212. - Golf carts should always be parked in designated automobile parking spaces, and never on grass.
