Hand-building - Every Rolf Prima wheel is carefully
hand-built using a painstaking build process that enables
our wheels to run true longer without the need for constant
attention. A machine built wheel simply cannot compete
with the skill of a wheel builder’s hand to create a truly light,
aerodynamic and durable wheel with uniform tensions.
Paired Spokes™ – Our
Paired Spoke technology broke new
ground when it was introduced in 1996.
Bringing the spokes to the rim in pairs
neutralizes the left and right outward
pulling forces allowing us to build true
wheels on lighter rims with fewer
spokes. Fewer spokes and lighter rims
help create increased aerodynamics and
faster performing wheels.
Differential Flange
Diameter™ – Our patented oversize
non-drive Differential Flange provides
the leverage to transmit drive torque in
the rear wheel to the non-drive spokes,
thereby increasing the number of torque
absorbing spokes.
Jacketed Nipple Design™ –
The deeper the rim, the more a spoke must
bend along its path to the hub flange. Our
patented Jacketed Nipple Design moves
the bend of the spoke away from the high
stress area of the spoke
threads and increases
spoke life significantly.
Self-Aligning Nipple™ – This
patented design allows the nipple to
rotate in a ball and socket configuration
to minimize bending in the
spoke and increase spoke life.
Dish Reducing Design™ –
This patented technology increases the
bracing angle of the drive side spokes to
improve wheel stiffness.

For 2014, our Ares wheels got faster. Initially
developed on our tubular TdF wheels, the clincher
Ares wheels incorporate our Delta Rim Technology.
Not only has this improved aerodynamics, but it has
improved the overall ride feel and handling. From
carving the turns in a tuck to sprinting for the finish,
the Ares wheels deliver precision performance.
Our carbon TdF wheels have been powering our pros to the top
podium step for years. However, it is not just pro’s who benefit from
the technology in our TdF wheels. The Delta Rim Technology was first
introduced by Rolf Prima in our TdF line and this profile improves every
aspect of the ride from crosswind stability to weight, precision handling

As avid Mountain bikers ourselves, we develop
what we want to ride. This led us to the lightweight and robust Ralos cross country line which
has expanded for 2014 to include the Ralos XR’s
at a more budget friendly price point. We’ve also
added the Rage and Rage XR all-mountain wheels
for bigger tires and bigger riding.

Rolf Prima’s Cyclocross wheel line is already the industry’s
broadest and for 2014 we have improved it further. All of our
alloy ‘cross wheels now feature our 22mm wide rims and are
available as a clincher or tubular. We’ve also added the 4CX and

increased tire support.
