This was a perilous journey from the United States to Black settlements in Canada. For those who made it to "Midnight", the code name given to Detroit, the Detroit River became a "River Jordan" and Canada became their land of "Canaan", the "Promised Land". You are invited to read the book and join the discussion about this perilous journey. Copies of the book are available for checkout at the library "Circulation Desk". Teens and Adults Welcome.
