In honor of the 201st Anniversary of the Mexican Independence, the Consulate of Mexico and the Detroit Public Library cordially invite you to celebrate “El Blanco Licor de la diosa Mayahuel” (The White Liquor of Goddess Mayayuel) Come enjoy a striking display that belongs to Archivo Casasola, the most important photo archive in Mexico and the source of incredible pictures that show the daily life of Mexico's population at the end of the 19th century and early 20th century, the pulque consumption, and workers in agave plantations.
