NOTES
· The scarf is worked long-ways with the entire length of the scarf
held on the hook. It is worked in only 4 rows!
· The graceful, cascading flare at the ends of the scarf are created
by a sequence of longer stitches.
· The instructions, as written, create a shorter scarf. Simply add
stitches to your starting chain to make a longer scarf!
· Double-ended crochet is just like Tunisian Crochet except you
turn your work for the reverse pass, working the stitches from the
opposite end of the hook. The double-ended crochet technique is
always worked with at least 2 strands of yarn - one yarn for the
forward pass and one for the reverse pass. Unlike Tunisian Crochet, it creates a truly reversible fabric - perfect for scarves and
throws. See our mini-tutorial on the following page or our more in.stitchdiv

TUNISIAN / DOUBLE-ENDED HOOK CR
OCHET INSTR
UCTIONS:
CROCHET
INSTRUCTIONS:
Tunisian crochet is different from the standard form of crochet in that each row
is worked in 2 distinct passes: the “forward” pass, in which loops are worked
onto the hook, and the “reverse” pass in which the loops are worked back off of
the hook. Double-ended crochet is a variation on Tunisian crochet, in which
the work is turned for the reverse pass: The reverse pass is worked with a
different yarn from the other end of the hook. What follows is a brief overview
of the techniques employed in this pattern, please see our free, online tutorial
