THIS IS OUR THOUGHT BEHIND OFFERING OUR SPA AREA AND WELLNESS CENTER TO OUR GUESTS.
Before all treatments start we offer a personal consultation with one of our therapists who will advise you
on how to achieve the best experience and result of your visit. Any ailments, allergies or other discomforts
you may already have can cause an impact on the result, and is therefore important to mention during the
consultation. Your wishes and needs are important to us. In this way we can ensure that you get the most
and best result from the treatment. Good communication is the key to proper and well-designed
treatment – just for you!.
We believe quiet and peaceful inside and outside surroundings give the perfect frame for achieving deep
spiritual rejuvenation. Therefore the atmosphere in the above areas plays an important role. Age limit is 18
years of age, but as a parent you may bring your child from 16 years of age.
ALLOW YOURSELF A
BIT OF TIME – ALL BY

Treat yourself to some time all to yourself, before
your actual treatment starts. For example, a
swim indoors or outdoors is good relaxation.
Or maybe a cleansing sauna, a hot bath or a
massage shower. These set the mood and
prepare your body for maximum effect of your
treatments ahead!
DRESS CODE
All our Union Bath and Spa guests may borrow
bathrobes and slippers which we ask all our
guests to use in Union Spa. Most body
treatments are done with minimal clothing.
Disposable underwear is available upon request.
(Disposable underwear is recommended for
treatments that use color). Swimwear is required
in the wet areas and sauna. Please use the
bathrobe and slippers when using the relax area.
Valuables /personal belongings should be kept
in the lockers.
MOBILE PHONES
A spa experience is meant to reduce stress level
through quietness and relaxation. Please ensure
that your phone is in quiet mode, and please
place your phone in the locker before entering
the Spa.
ALLOW AMPLE TIME
A visit to our Union Bath and Spa is meant to be
relaxing without stress. If you have booked an
appointment you are advised to arrive approximately 30 minutes before the treatment starts.
Then you have ample time to change, try out our
sauna area, and in this way getting ready. Should
you for some reason arrive late for your appointment, the time of your treatment will be
shortened accordingly in order to accommodate
the next guests’ booked appointment. Please
make sure you drink plenty of water both before
and after your treatment.
TAKING PHOTOS
A visit to our Spa-area is meant to be a private
experience. Therefore we want our guests to feel
comfortable knowing that any picture taken is
prohibited.

SMOKING
Smoking is only allowed outdoors when visiting
the Hotel Union.

Union Spa has several relax zones where you can
enjoy complete solitude and peace before and after
your treatments, according to your needs. Perhaps
you prefer relaxing with a book from the library, close
your eyes in the comfortable lounge chairs, take in
the quiet of the room, meditate, take in the view or
eat a light and healthy meal. The ultimate Spaexperience you will feel when your stomach is not
empty, yet not too full, especially when you take a
treatment. We recommend that you drink enough of
our clean, tasty water before, under and after the
Spa-visit. Drinking plenty of water is important when
you are in the sauna area.
It is always nice to share a positive experience
with others. We have different treatments
where two or more can be together. You can
read more about these offers in our Spa-menu share luxury and happiness with those close to
you!
You can eat and drink well in our Cafè Løsta from the
menu consisting of fresh and healthy food. Some
guests choose to enjoy a cup of tea along with the
view from the lounge in front of the fireplace. If you
prefer to sleep longer, we serve continental breakfast
in the living room between 9am and noon.
SHAVING
If you wish to experience the special, relaxing feeling
of the Turkish Hamam, we recommend that you
shave the day before. A good facial treatment for our
male guests, will feel and look better with shaved
skin. We recommend that you shave at least 5-6
hours before your treatment starts.
CANCELLATION POLICY
We kindly ask you to inform us at least 24 hours
in advance of your booked treatment.
Cancellations done less than 24 hours in
advance will be billed in full to the guest.

BABOR Cosmetics, which has 50 years of experience
within treatment cosmetics and personal skin and
body care. The spa philosophy of BABOR Cosmetics
is based on the thought of the body and soul being
in perfect harmony and balance. BABOR wishes the
costumer to experience the healing strength of
nature. Only natural ingredients are used in the
products.

Hamam is a traditional cleansing ritual and a complete
journey to your inner self. You lie on a hot stone in
complete moisture. Heat, steam, foam, fragrance, and
massage do miracles, and activate all your senses. After
the treatment, you can relax in your own room with a
nice apple tea. This treatment is suitable for couples or
if you want to experience it alone, you are more than
welcome.

“Knuten” is part of the original Geiranger road from
1889, and characterized as a great art of engineering.

You should not miss this spectacular viewpoint, with
a panoramic view of the Geiranger fjord and the surrounding mountains. Another highlight you should

The most famous waterfall in Geiranger is “Dei Sju
Systrene”. The waterfall has a 300 meter drop and the
waterfall got the name because from a distance the
waterfall looks like the long hair of seven women. If
you want a massage but are not sure what treatment
you would like, try this massage. We will tailor the
massage to your liking. We will compose a massage
that will suit you perfectly.

“Laushornet” ranges 1500 meter over the Geiranger
fjord with its mighty drop. We recommend a lovely

treatment with the same name is one of the highlights in
Geiranger. This treatment is perfect after a long day. It

the concentrated formulas that moist and calm your skin.
FLYDALSJUVET
40 minutes facial treatment – 580 NOK
At ’Flydalsjuvet’ you can enjoy the most spectacular view
in Geiranger. We can offer you a rejuvenating eye
treatment as spectacular as the view at ‘Flydalsjuvet’. We
sculpt and pluck your eyebrows, colour your eyelashes and
eyebrows and finish off with a refreshing rinse.
THE BRIDE`S VEIL

One of Geiranger most famous water falls is The bride’s veil.
The treatment with the same name consists of a refreshing
ritual that brings moisture to your skin using ingredients
from nature. The treatment gives your face a fresh glow and
improves the moisture level of your skin, leaving you
looking and feeling younger with a radiant glow.
FRIAREN

This treatment is named after another famous waterfall
‘Friaren’ (The Proposer), which suits all men. This is a deep
cleansing treatment, which increases circulation and
brings moisture to the skin and have a lifting effect. This
treatment brings back the natural glow to your skin.
DJUPGJELET
85 minutes facial treatment– 1260 NOK
The midwife route goes along the steep and dangerous
mountainside, with hurdles such as the ’Djupgjelet’
engpass, which is a legend in the history of Geiranger. Our
most effective facial treatment is named after this amazing
engpass. By using active ingredients from nature, your face
gets moisture and regains the natural glow to your skin,
and has a lifting effect. We can promise you a complete
relaxation for both skin and mind.
KNIVEN

The characteristic mountain where you find ’Dei Sju
Systrene’ is called ’Kniven.’ This treatment is inspired by the
special mountain pass. A treatment with deep cleansing
which gets rid of dead skin cells, using a firming mask.
Your skin will be as good as new without any impurities.
Excellent both for ladies and gentlemen.
Complete relaxation. A very serene experience with
the feeling of total quiet. This is the best reward you
can give your body after a long day of hiking in the
mountains. Wrapped in a delicious mix of fruits, herbs,
algaes or minerals that have a rejuvenating effect on
your skin and body. You ‘flow’ gently in a bed filled
with warm water. After the wrap, you can enjoy a

KNIVSFLÅ
30 minutes organic body ritual 400 NOK
The beautiful mountain farm “Knivsflå” is situated in
the steep mountainside; close to “Dei Sju Systrene”.
Water is the base of this wonderful steam treatment,
either alone or in the company of up to three friends
or just you and your loved one. The treatment is called
serail and consists of a mask with minerals that are
filled with nutrients that have an extra strong effect in
the steam bath. A hot shower complete the treatment.
You will feel as refreshed as ever.
