ABOUT SIGG
LETTER FROM THE CEO
When I joined SIGG over 3 years ago, I never imagined that I would
eventually be relocating my family from the USA to Switzerland.
I am extremely honored to be this company’s first non-Swiss
CEO. Switzerland is a magical land and, as you probably already
know, SIGG is one hot brand!
So hot, in fact, that we increased production last year by more
than 90%. And yet, despite those efforts, we still had difficulty
satisfying the overwhelming demand for SIGG in 2008. We truly
apologize for the out-of-stocks, but are pleased to announce
that we have already purchased new equipment and plan to
increase our production capacity again this year and for years
to come.
In 2008, SIGG has become the number one brand of reusable
water bottles in the world! What’s driving such incredible demand for more SIGG bottles? Maybe it’s superstar Julia Roberts
telling Oprah Winfrey on American national television, “Everyone
just needs to get a SIGG.”

For 100 years now, SIGG has utilized Swiss precision and
craftsmanship to develop what many people call “Simply the

Designed and manufactured in Switzerland from a single
piece of pure aluminum, the bottles are perfectly extruded
for uniform, seamless construction ensuring leak-proof performance and extreme durability. Backpacker magazine independently tested all leading brands of water bottles and
called SIGG “The World’s Toughest Water Bottle”.
The brilliant exterior of a SIGG is due to a solvent-free, ecofriendly, powder-based coating which is baked on to create
a vibrant finish. Swiss law and SIGG policy ensures that all of
our manufacturing procedures and operations are designed
with the environment in mind.
Simply ECO-Logical
The SIGG bottle lining is a non-toxic coating that is baked
into the interior walls and remains flexible and crack resistant for the life of the bottle. It is taste neutral and resistant
to fruit acids and energy drinks, ensuring that your drinks
taste like your drinks …every time!
SIGG bottles exceed FDA requirements and have been independently tested to prove 0% leaching of the liner or the
container. The proprietary SIGG bottle liner is 100% free of
Bisphenol A (BPA), pthlates or any other chemical which has
been considered to be potentially harmful. In other words,
SIGGs are 100% safe!

ABOUT SIGG
ECO-FRIENDLY
Environmentally speaking, SIGG bottles make good sense
because they are designed to be reusable and are 100%
recyclable at the end of their very long lives. Aluminum is one
of the most environmentally friendly materials in the world
because it is extremely easy to recycle, regaining nearly all of
its properties and making it ideal for repurposing.
And while recycling is good, reusing is much better for the planet.
“More than 90% of the environmental impact from a plastic
bottle takes place before the bottles hit the landfill,” states
Dr. Allen Hershkowitz, Senior Scientist at the U.S. Natural
Resources Defense Council “energy to manufacture, energy
to transport, energy to refrigerate – and ultimately energy to
recycle.”
Single use water bottles (PET plastic) create billions of tons of
unnecessary waste each year. It is estimated that less than
20% of the world’s plastic water bottles are actually recycled.
In the United States alone, over 100 million plastic bottles wind
up in litter or landfills – every day!
Besides reducing the world’s reliance on petroleum-based PET
bottles and manufacturing responsibly, SIGG Switzerland is a

Man-made and Mother Nature approved, Steelworks bottles
are reusable and 100% recyclable. The SIGG product management team travels regularly from Switzerland to Asia to ensure
that our manufacturing partner practices fair labor and manufactures in an environmentally responsible manner.
Steelworks bottles are produced in China under the watchful
eye of our own full-time, Swiss Quality Control Inspector to assure that they meet the SIGG Switzerland company’s rigorous
standards for quality and safety. Trust us, our QC Man is as
