The children looked absolutely beautiful as they danced and sang together. They must also be commended for their wonderful behaviour. Thank you to our staff for organising the event, particularly Mrs Heather Delahunty and Ms Chanelle Pelchen. Thank you also to all of our parents who supported us by not only providing the money to attend and purchase items, but also by delivering and collecting children so promptly. Thanks also to our Parent Club, who also supported us on the night. We really appreciate your efforts. School Council Lapathon/Mini Fete Thursday 12 November Ballarat Show Day Friday 13 November Pupil Free Day Monday 16 November Report Writing Grade 4 Camp Monday 25 - Wednesday 27 November at Log Cabin Lodge We are very fortunate to have two parents offer to join School Council. The school benefits so much when parents take an interest in what we do and offer their time to support our programs and operations. Mr Andrew Simpson and Mr Bill Newman have nominated to join School Council, which means that an election will be held. Parents are encouraged to become involved by voting at the office. Voting will close on Friday 16 th October at 4pm. Thank you to Andrew and Bill, for their willingness to participate in the governance of our school. Homework Please find on this newsletter a copy of the Homework Policy that has been recently ratified by School Council. Unit Leaders have recently sent home letters explaining homework expectations across the school. We are also beginning a Homework Club on Fridays that will provide support to children who have been unable to complete their homework. I am very happy to discuss the homework policy and our expectations with parents who may have questions or concerns. Run Ballarat Congratulations to our staff, parents and children who participated in Run Ballarat. A particular highlight was the fabulous performance of The Sweeney boys, who ran incredibly well in the 1 km race in the U14 age group. Congratulations Wil and Beau!
