Stage 1 First Impressions SCENARIO: You top the ridge and spy the quaint hamlet of Windy Ridge. Unbeknownst to you, the townsfolk have been hearing for some time that a notorious gunman was headed their way. Unfortunately for you, the townsfolk see you riding in and think you’re the gunman! As you ride past the freight yard, some of the uppidy freight hands start shooting at you. You slap leather and start shooting back! SET-UP: Mil rifle targets at 25 yards. Shotgun and pistol targets at 7-10 yards. Rifle targets at 12-15 yards. PISTOL RIFLE SHOTGUN AMMO 10 10 4+ WEAPONS STAGED Pistols loaded and holstered, hammers down at empty chamber Rifle loaded w/ 10 rounds, staged in front floorboard Shotgun empty, staged in back of wagon STARTING POSITION: Standing next to the wagon seat, hands on hat When the shooter is ready, say the line: “What did I do now?!” AT THE BUZZER: Engage the pistol targets with two, Left to Right sweeps. Engage the rifle targets with two, Right to Left sweeps. Move to rear of wagon, and Engage shotgun targets in any order - they must go down to count. Stage over. Each target not hit with the specific firearm required by stage instructions will be scored as a miss. Shotgun targets must go down to count. 1 Stage 2 Feelin' The Love SCENARIO: You’re hoping to get some rest & restock your supplies before continuing your journey West. As you walk into the livery barn, a group of cowboys draw on you and start shooting. You move outside hoping to flee the ruckas, but more of the townsfolk start shooting at you, so you return their fire. SET-UP: Mil rifle targets at 25 yards. Rifle targets at 12 to 15 yards. Shotgun & Pistol targets at 8-10 yards. AMMO WEAPONS STAGED PISTOL 10 RIFLE SHOTGUN 6 4+ Pistols loaded and holstered, hammers down on empty chamber Rifle loaded w/ 6 rounds, staged on the table. Shotgun empty, action open, staged on table. STARTING POSITION: Standing at the left end of the fence with hands at Texas Surrender When the shooter is ready, say the line “This Sure is an Unfriendly Town!!” AT THE BUZZER: Move to the table, & Engage shotgun from Right to Left - they must go down to count. Then Engage to rifle targets in two identical Sweeps from the Left. Make rifle safe. Then, engage pistol targets in two Nevada Sweeps, starting from the Left (1-2-3-2-1) Stage over. Each target not hit with the specific firearm required by stage instructions will be scored as a miss. Shotgun targets must go down to count. 2 STAGE 3 When's the Next Train? SCENARIO: After the frakus at the livery, you’re just hoping you can make it to the mercantile, get your supplies, and get the heck outta Dodge. But by now the townsfolk are riled up beyond reason, and another swarm ambushes you near the railroad station SET-UP: Mil rifle targets at 25 yards. Rifle targets at 12 to 15 yards. Shotgun and Pistol targets at 8-10 yards. AMMO WEAPONS STAGED: PISTOL 10 Pistols loaded and holstered, hammers down on empty chamber RIFLE 10 Rifle loaded w/10 rounds, staged in cab. SHOTGUN 4+ Shotgun empty, staged in cab STARTING POSITION: Standing in the cab, hands up When ready, shout "Oh, Come On!" AT THE BUZZER: Engage the pistol targets with two Right to Left sweeps. Then, engage the rifle targets, and sweep twice from Left to Right . Make rifle safe. Then, engage shotgun targets in any order - they must go down to count. Stage over. Shotgun targets must go down to count. 3 STAGE 4 Can't Catch a Break SCENARIO: You’re getting a little tired of the whole town taking pot shots at you, so you decide to check in with the Sheriff to try to settle things down some. Unfortunately, the Sheriff is jumpier than the rest of the town and starts shooting as soon as you open the door! SET-UP: Mil rifle targets at 25 yards. Rifle targets at 12 to 15 yards. Shotgun and Pistol targets at 8-10 yards. AMMO PISTOL RIFLE 10 10 SHOTGUN 2+ WEAPONS STAGED Pistols loaded and holstered, hammers down on empty chamber Rifle loaded w/10 rounds, hammer down on empty chamber, Staged in the jail. Shotgun empty, staged on table in building. STARTING POSITION: Standing at the left end of fence, hands on fence. When shooter is ready, say the line "'Great Googlie Mooglie" AT THE BUZZER: Engage the pistol target plates in any order - they must go down to count. Any remaining pistol rounds can be dumped at the adjacent cowboy target. Move inside the building and Engage the rifle targets with two, Out-to-In's (1-5-2-4-3), starting from the left. Make rifle safe. Then, engage the shotgun knockdowns in any order – they must go down to count. Stage over. PROCEDURALS & SCORING +10 Second Penalty for failure to comply with scenario instructions as written. Each target not hit with the specific firearm required by stage instructions will be scored as a miss. 4 STAGE 5 No Green Stamps Here! SCENARIO: Realizing this day ain’t going to get better until you scoot out of town, you decide to duck into the mercantile, get just enough staples to get you to the next town, and vamoose. But all you did was give the townsfolk enough time to regroup, and yep, they’re outside now! SET UP: Mil Rifle targets at 25 yards. Shotgun and pistol targets at 8-10 yards. Rifle targets at 12-15 yards AMMO PISTOL RIFLE 10 10 SHOTGUN 4+ WEAPONS STAGED Pistols loaded w/5 rounds each, holstered. Rifle loaded w/ 10 rounds, hammer down on empty chamber, staged on right table Shotgun staged on the right table STARTING POSITION: Standing in the doorway with hands on door frame. When ready, say the line: "Sharp Knives! Hot Coffee! I'm Comin' Through!” AT THE BUZZER: Engage Shotgun targets in any order, they must go down to count – restage shotgun. Engage Rifle targets in 2 sweeps from left to right. Make rifle safe. Then, engage the pistol targets in 2, right to left sweeps. Stage over. PROCEDURALS & SCORING: +10 Second Penalty for failure to comply with scenario instructions as written. Each target not hit with the specific firearm required by stage instructions will be scored as a miss. 5 STAGE 6 Exit, Stage Right! SCENARIO: Well, now you’ve done it. It doesn’t matter now if you are the dude they were expecting or not! The whole town's up in arms, and your only hope is to make it to Fort Plywoody before they string you up or shoot you down. SET-UP: Mil rifle targets at 25 yards. Rifle targets at 12 to 15 yards. Shotgun and Pistol targets at 8-10 yards. STARTING POSITION: Standing at the gate with hands on hat brim When shooter is ready, say the line: “Some days it just don't pay to roll outta bed!'“ AT THE BUZZER: Engage the rifle targets with two sweeps, starting from the left. Make rifle safe. Then, engage the pistol targets with at least two rounds on each target. Then engage the shotgun targets in any order. They must go down to count. Stage over.
