BTP easy as
1, 2, 3...
Here is a simple step by step guide on
how to assemble your BTP project.
Step 1
Assemble project before decorating
so you know what pieces go where
and what you want painted or
covered in papers.
Step 2
Use a glue stick or craft glue directly
onto the wooden piece, ensuring you
take the glue right to the edges.
Step 5
File the edges to fuse the particles
of wood and paper together so the
paper won’t lift.
Step 3
Adhere paper to the wood, smooth
out with your hands or use a brayer to
remove any air bubbles
Step 6
Use a craft glue to apply directly
onto the wood and assemble BTP.
Step 4
Turn over and use a craft knife to
carefully trim around the edges.
Decorate and embellish as desired.

Trim 1cm off each side of the ELEANOR
sheet and use the border punch

Tip: Give your paper
Cut a 15cm x 20cm (6” x 8”) piece of
EVELYN (reverse) and adhere across
centre of page. Cut out the burgundy,
light green and dark green strips from
GEORGIE GIRL (reverse), cut these
down slightly and pennant cut the
ends. Layer these under and over the
lower edge of a 10cm x 15cm (4” x 6”)
photograph, then adhere all to the
EVELYN mat. Slip a large crochet doilie
under the centre point of these.
Use border punch on a narrow strip
of EVELYN (reverse) and adhere
against lower edge of photo. Layer
collectables with foam tape and
adhere below photo, as shown, with
stamped paper leaves, mini blooms
and pearl flourishes extending either
side.
Apply rub on quote to a short piece of
the dark pink strip from GEORGIE GIRL
(reverse) and slip under upper edge of
photo. Cluster collectables around this.

Cut up LOST & FOUND into
individual strips. Cut the narrower
strips down slightly, pennant and
angle cut the ends, and adhere
them across lower half of BAZAAR
piece. Cut the widest (babushka)
strip in half and adhere vertically
over strips, so that the total
length is about 24cm (9 ½”).
Adhere a 13cm x 18cm (5” x 7”)
photograph over the top.
Apply a rub on quote to the
lower right corner of a sheet
of FAIR (cut off narrow edging
strip first). Cut this off in a 7.5cm
(3”) strip. Curl up the lower right
corner of background sheet
and adhere quote strip behind.
Curl up other corners throughout
layout also.
Tip: I f you have a white
area in your photo, try
using rub ons over this
space; overlapping
onto the paper below.
Apply the word rub ons over
layout as desired. Adhere the
wooden compass by the lower
right corner of photo, and
embellish layout with twine.
