Hermetically Sealed
Rulmeca’s AC squirrel-cage induction motor and gearbox are hermetically sealed within the oil-filled
Motorized Pulley shell. So, drive
reliability is high and maintenance
requirements are low.
In addition to saving space, sealing motor and gearbox within pulley shell protects
them from abrasive and corrosive environments. Gearbox, motor bearings, and main
support bearings are all automatically splash-lubricated. Since pulley shaft is "dead"
(non-rotating,) there are no pillow blocks to lubricate. Maintenance includes changing
standard gear oil every 10,000 operating hours.

drive inclined, reversing,
articulating, & high-duty
cycle conveyors.
Each Motorized Pulley provides specific HP at fixed belt speed within particular pulley
diameter & face width. Variable frequency drives provide belt speed flexibility.
To mount Rulmeca Motorized Pulley, simply align pulley, fasten four mounting bolts to conveyor structure, and make electrical connections.

mils paint.) Upper right: partial 3/8” lag (with ss regreasable labyrinth seals and 4.7 mils
paint.) Lower: solid ceramic segments bonded directly to steel pulley face.
