LOGO
DESIGN
Designing a logo starts with
a discussion about the client’s
business goals and differentiators,
the etymology of the company
name, audience, as well as a review
of competitors. They are asked
to complete a questionnaire that
will help narrow down preferred
styles, inspiration, and technical
requirements. Findings are used to
brainstorm ideas for logo imagery,
and after many concepts and
iterations, a new identity is born. The
drafting proces is as important as the
final product.
NYC-based Seafood Restaurant Logo
Art direction, design & illustration for NYC-based seafood restaurant/café
specializing in lobster rolls. Client was looking for a unique logo with an updated
vintage style and a seaside vibe. Lobster claw was hand sketched, vectorized
and inverted for a reverse etched look. Careful choice of typography adds an
old-school sensibility.

Ice Cream & Confectionery Shop Logo
Vietnam-baesd Band Logo
Art direction and design for Connecticut-based candy and ice cream shop.
Client wanted a logo that would conjure memories of classic ice cream parlors
and seaside sweets shops. While the navy blue and cream color-scheme keeps
the logo clean, the old-fashioned typography and icons add character.
Art direction and design for an all-female vocal performance trio. The graphic
is a simplified, geometric version of a braid – a concept that came from the idea
of the braid as a strong feminine symbol, the three parts/roles in the group, and
the meaning of amity: friendship and the idea of interlocking experience.

Logo for Musician
Logo for Landscape Designer
Art Direction and design of logo for NYC-based drummer and percussionist.
Client requested a simple logo that moved away from obvious symbolism. The
serif typeface, line drawing and decorative elements gives the logo a classic and
sophisticated look.
Art Direction and design of logo for freelance landscape designer. The green
adds a fresh feel to the design, while the simple leaf illustration adds a playful
touch.

Logo for Cultural Center in Norway
Logo for Restaurant in Norway
Art direction, design & illustration for cultural center in Sætre Gård, Norway.
Client was looking for a handmade, unique design that captured the
atmosphere, history and beauty of the buildings and land occupied by the
cultural center. The building is a boat house on the property which has been
hand-drawn and digitally manipulated.
Art direction, design & illustration for local ingredient-inspired restaurant
in Sætre Gård, Norway. Client wanted simple, vintage inspired design with a
modern feel. Silhouette is hand-drawn and adds a homestyle feel to the logo,
while the vectorization of the illustration adds a bit of polish.

Italian Bistro Logo
Production Company Logo
Art direction, design & illustration for New York-based italian bistro. Client
requested a logo with a rustic, old world feel, with inspiration coming from the
sea and sailing to Ponza, a small string of islands off of the coast of Italy.
Art direction, design & illustration for Visalia, California production company.
Client wanted a design that resonated with the name of the company, without
being cliché or too obvious. The barometer was a perfect solution.

VISUAL
BRANDING
A brand needs a strong visual
identity that builds upon its core
services and offerings, values, and
brand promise. Consistency across
mediums is imperative, and all
extensions of the brand – from the
website to the ads to the business
cards – must convey the unified ideas
and values behind the company. At
times, this process starts with a new
logo, but most often, a re-design of
an existing brand identity is in order
(with or without a logo re-design),
requiring a level of tireless research,
seamless integration and smooth,
piecemeal transition.
Garberg Design
This interior design company was in need of a rebrand, including a logo refresh,
website, business cards, banner ads and email template. These projects required
working closely with the client to ensure that the improved look and feel
mirrored the company’s sense of space, color and tone.

WubbaNub

(203) 799-7633
www.wubbanub.com
A website redesign quickly revealed the need for a complete brand refresh.
WubbaNub’s brand is being transformed with a new website, new direction on
photography and copy, the creation of videos, printed advertisements and inhouse collateral –all while staying true to the core brand and some previously
established brand guidelines (including the logo). Head creative director role.
Kitchen Cabinet Kings
Brands evolve over time. Working with this client closely for years, new business
needs, expansion and increase of mobile usage lead to the creation and
modification of brand assets, including additions to the existing website, the
redesign of the website, email newsletter and social media assets, banner ads,
business card design, email signature design, and more.
BorrowMiniCouture
The challenge was improving the brand through a website reskin (as complete
redesign was not an option) and using it as the cornerstone for the brand look
and feel. Art direction, branding & design for website, banners and emails for
childrens couture clothing site
NYC-based Furniture Design company
This furniture design company was in search of a look and concept for their
photographs, website, online catalog and advertisements. Furniture inspired by
Southeast Asia and materials sourced from Indonesia. Head of art direction and
creative strategy for all visual aspects of the brand.
