Backed by 13 years of experience in the Special Forces, we have recreated a realistic combat arena in a safe urban environment. What makes Spec Ops Paintball different? You have never ‘played’ anything like this before! Step inside our purpose-­‐built, indoor game arena and you’re in for a truly unique combat experience. Spec Ops Paintball is owned and operated by a real Special Forces Commando and Instructor. Game play is based on real experiences in conflict zones. This kind of realism is usually only available to real Special Forces Commandos. All games are unique – no two games will ever be the same! What days do you open? Walking distance from the QUT Kelvin Grove campus, behind the Normanby Hotel. There is plenty of onsite parking. Public Transport Closest train station: Normanby. Roma Street train station is a 15 minute walk away. Bus Stop The Normanby Busway Station is located on the Inner Northern Bypass beneath the MA Howell Indoor Sports Centre at the Normanby Fiveways. There is pedestrian access via two arrival towers with stairway and lift access from Kelvin Grove Road, Normanby. Either call us on 07 38395134, or email us at [email protected] What is the minimum age to play paintball in Queensland? • The minimum age to play paintball in Queensland is 15yrs of age. An adult will need to sign for players under 18. Photo ID is required each time you play. Do I need to show proof of ID each time I play Spec Ops Paintball? • Yes. Acceptable forms of ID are drivers license, 18+ card, school ID, or passport. Can we bring alcohol? • No alcohol or other intoxicating substances are permitted on site. Any players who have been drinking or using illegal substances will be excluded from the games and will be asked to leave the premises. Can I walk in and join a group? • You are more than welcome to walk in and we will place you into a group -­‐ subject to minimum numbers and availability. How many players do I need in a group to play? • The minimum number of players is 2! It is subject to availability. • However there is a minimum number of 20 players required to open the site if no other groups are booked in for the time and day you request. Do I need to sign a waiver to play? • All players are required to sign a waiver before they play. • Players under 18 years must have their waiver signed by an attending adult. Can I join up to become a member? • Yes! Members received regular newsletters, special member only offers and go into a monthly draw to win "Special Forces 4-­‐Man Team Training" for four people -­‐ Money CANNOT buy this monthly members draw prize! • You can save time by registering your membership online or, you can complete a registration form on the day of arrival before you begin play. Do I need to pay a booking fee? • Yes. To secure your booking, we require a $25 per person booking fee. This payment will offset the basic recruit package. Upon arrival, each player may upgrade to the SF package. Payment is made through PayPal or EFT transfer. Does it hurt getting hit by a paintball? • Sometimes! When a player gets hit, it usually feels like a slight sting that will quickly fade – similar to a firm flick on the arm. Do you have to be physically fit and strong to play paintball? • No. Paintball is more about strategy than your physical attributes. What happens on the day? • On arrival, you will need to fill in a registration/waiver. You can save time by downloading and printing it off beforehand. You will then be fitted out with all the gear you need. • You will receive a compulsory safety briefing each time you play and then be divided into your teams. • Each team will receive a scenario briefing based on the type of game you are going to play. • Each session is 2 hours long, however each game can lasts between 5min to 30min, depending on how the game scenario plays out. What should I bring with me on the day? • Photo ID. • Signed Registration & Waiver form. • Players should wear light, comfortable clothing. • Enclosed footwear is compulsory. Will the paint wash out? • Most paintballs will wash away with water. Please don’t wear anything you wouldn’t want to get stained just in case it doesn’t! How many paintballs will I use? • This depends on how trigger-­‐happy you are. It’s entirely up to each person how many paintballs they want to use.
