WHAT OUR SERVICE INCLUDES
This itinerary and quote are inclusive of all applicable travel visas [ 1 ], current park fees, transfers, current taxes , meals [2], bottled water
on safari, accommodations, core tour costs, guides, porters, support staff, private 4WD vehicles, and other modes of transport noted such as
intra-continental and in-country flights[3]. Also included is the tour design itself, the task of booking and confirming arrangements directly with
the African suppliers , making and taking responsibility for financial transactions with vetted licensed African suppliers, and holding the
African suppliers accountable to a higher standard. Lion Dog African Safaris also provides a 24/7 help hotline while on tour, a Satisfaction
Guarantee, and very informative aids such as the African Adventure Guidebook and the Preparing For Kilimanjaro Guidebook.
Lion Dog African Safaris restricts distribution of this custom program design, in whole or in part, from any other tour companies;
and also points out that its services extend far beyond the tour design itself.
Although Lion Dog African Safaris lends assistance with the following matters, the actual items themselves such as the contin ental [4] flights ,
travel insurance[5], gratuities , immunizations[6], unscheduled and
side tours, and special beverages ( unless stated otherwise ) ; are
not included in the quoted tour above.
Lion Dog African Safaris reserves the right to adjust for price changes between the times of presenting a quote, to the time the client books
the tour to account for price fluctuations beyond our control. Delay may result in disappointment.
Note 1: In the case of Rwanda, for Canadian citizens, an 'entry visa acceptance' certificate is typically provided by Lion Dog African Safaris
however the client is responsible for the USD $30 purchase of a visa upon arrival. American citizens do not require an 'entry visa acceptance'
certificate visa for Rwanda but are required to pay $USD 30 for the visa upon arrival.
Note 2: The rule of thumb regarding meals is that all meals are included when the client is in the “constant direct care” of the tour supplier
such as on safari, treks, etc., otherwise the client is usually responsible for the meals. For example, client would usually be responsible for
meals on the day of arrival, meals while in transit including biking, and meals on rest/free days. The exception to this rule is that breakfast is
generally included at all the venues, and that all meals and even spirits may also be included at the “luxury” venues. Some venues offer a meal
plan for an extra cost however it is recommended that clients opt out of a meal plan to give themselves more choice and the freedom to wander
away from the venue. The meals that will be included on the tour will be noted on the final tour program as (B) for br eakfast, (L) for lunch,
and (D) for dinner, and (S) if spirits are also included. {Meals in Africa generally cost as much as they do in North America.}
Note 3: A number of inter-continental and in-county/domestic flights are included
however they may not all be daily flights meaning the final program may have to
be adjusted to coincide with the available flights.
Note 4 : Continental flights between North America and Africa are not included in
the tour and clients are free to purchase their continental flights from other
suppliers .LDAS has experience providing competitively priced continental flights
as well ,with the added benefit of providing hands on immediate assistance in the
event of delayed flights and baggage.
Note 5: Travel Insurance is not included in the tour and clients are free to purchase
travel insurance from other suppliers. LDAS provides competitively priced travel
insurance as well, with the added benefit of knowing the complexities of travel
insurance as it applies to the African continent.
Note 6: If health issues are a concern, it is suggested that travelers discuss their
health and immunizations with their medical doctor prior to signing up for the
tour.
