LA DAM-EN-TERRE
In the heart of Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean, the Dam-en-Terre Resort in
Alma is a lakeside vacation and convention centre offering a wide
range of activities and services. Located on the Véloroute des
Bleuets, the resort offers tourist accommodations, camp sites and a
wide array of activities for families and private and corporate
groups.
Dam-en-Terre is named after the earth dike that links the two shores
of the bay. This local expression comes from the Anglophone
workers who built the hydroelectric facilities; the word “dam” was
used to refer to dikes.
