As we build out the Foundation’s Strategic Plan, it will enable us to expand on
the opportunities we have to impact donation of organs and tissues, increase
living donation, help families heal by honoring their loved ones, and achieve better outcomes through research and education.
Working together, we can create meaningful opportunities for the families we
serve. A special thank you to Donation Development Coordinator, Lisa
Holzman who is responsible for the OneLegacy Foundation’s very first contribution from a donor family whose son passed away in August. She called me asking for sample wording for the donor’s obituary because the family had asked
that donations be made in their son’s name to OneLegacy. To date, those gifts
have raised over $2,500. A special thank you also goes out to Roxane Ganske,
a Coordinator at OneLegacy’s Family Care Center. She received a call from
someone wanting to contribute to the Foundation and put them in touch with
me to make their gift. Lastly, a big thank you to Bryan Stewart, Vice President of
Communications, who referred a 2013 Rose Parade floragraph family to me and
they made the largest gift to the Foundation to date. These gifts represent the
future of what the Foundation will become and they all make an important difference.
Again, thank you for the warm welcome, the tremendous support and the fun
that we have already had as we begin this journey.
All the best,
Anne Grey

Britt’s BBQ Legacy Event Raises Over $2,000
On October 27th, Britt’s
BBQ located at 408 Main
Street in El Segundo celebrated what would have
been the 24th birthday of
Brittany Nicole Cail who
became a donor in April
2008 in Louisiana. Brittany’s mom, Raquel is a
Donate Life Ambassador
and volunteers tirelessly.
She and Brittany’s dad,
Britt’s BBQ
Benefit for OneLegacy
Foundation SAVE THE DATE April 8th!
Tracy celebrate Brittany’s birthday at the
restaurant he opened
because it had been
Britt’s dream to own a
business with her dad.
Raquel decided to make
Britt’s celebration a fund
raiser for the OneLegacy
Foundation this year and
they are hosting another
event on April 8th in
Britt’s honor.
