Float Switch
ƒ Float switch in water connection box is intented primarily to
detect a leak from bad tightening of the hose nut (it can‘t
work as an overall water protection)
ƒ If the float switch is activated, a fault mode will be triggered
to alert the user
ƒ After repairing the leak, the connection box has to be
drained by pulling the plug from the drain hole

–
On/off illumination – Press and hold button.
Night mode – Press and release button. Sensor controlled automatic ice maker and
anti clumping system off at night for low noise (can be de-activated by the customer for
increased ice making performance) Choice of function acknowledged by one single
blink by the white LEDs.
–
Locked mode ice dispensing – Press and hold button. Locking function indicated by
LED to the left. True one hand operation when not in use. The dispenser returns
automatically to locked state 10 seconds after the latest action.
–
To disable locked mode – Press and hold both buttons simultaneously. Choice is
acknowledged turning out the yellow LED to the left.
User interface icemaker –
Update 1 2/3
ƒ Other functions
– Ice maker/dispensing is switched off when door is opened
– Ice maker/dispensing is switched off when ice-bucket is removed
– Alarm function at ”Leakage in connection box”, “Ice tray not filled ”
and “Dispenser lid not closed”, indicated by blinking white LEDs.
Press any key to reset white LEDs The appliance stays however in
alarm mode (indicated by blinking yellow LED to the left) until the
remedial action has been taken.
ƒ User interface top panel
– On/off ice-maker by pressing the alarm reset push button for 5
seconds
– this function is needed for energy consumption test, the anticondensation heater is enabled automatically when the the ice
maker is active

Wiring
Fault Mode 1
ƒ If the float switch in the water connection box is closed,
the dispenser light starts flashing on and off, and the yellow
LED for the lock function blinks once every 2 seconds
ƒ Flashing of the light can be stopped by pressing any
button, but the yellow LED will continue to blink until the
cause for the fault is removed by repairing the leak, and
draining the connection box by pulling the plug from the
drain hole
Fault Mode 2
ƒ If water fill of the ice cube tray is not detected by way of a
temperature rise on the tray NTC within 10 minutes from
opening the fill valve, the dispenser light starts flashing on
and off, and the yellow LED for the lock function blinks
twice every 2 seconds
ƒ Flashing of the light can be stopped by pressing any
button, but the yellow LED will continue to blink until a
water fill is detected again
Fault Mode 3
ƒ If the lid in the dispenser is not fully closed, the dispenser
light starts flashing on and off, and the yellow LED for the
lock function blinks 3 times every 2 seconds
ƒ Flashing of the light and of the yellow LED can be shortly
stopped by pressing any button, but will restart after 30
seconds if the fault persists
ƒ Fault reset is only possible if full closing of the dispenser lid
is detected by the paddle optocoupler
Fault Mode 4
ƒ If if an open circuit is detected on the ice tray NTC, the
dispenser light starts flashing on and off, and the yellow
LED for the lock function blinks 4 times every 2 seconds
ƒ Flashing of the light can be stopped by pressing any
button, but the yellow LED will continue to blink, and ice
making is stopped, until the fault is repaired (wiring or NTC)
Accessibility of Ice Dispenser
ƒ Printed front panel sticker must be removed to access the
hidden screws
ƒ new stickers will be supplied with the spare parts kits
Installation description
ƒ Water connection
– Connect to a water ejector using standard connection hose.
– Tighten by hand only.
– System ready for use.
ƒ Preparation before use

cleaning reasons. This information will be included in the IFU.
Patent & Trademark Activities
Final 1
ƒ Patent application P-11547 concerning Glacier filed week 45
ƒ The patent embodies the following claims:
‒
1) The anti clumping system.
‒
2) The ice gate and mechanism underneath the ice bin.
‒
3) The night mode function.
ƒ The patent do no embody claim concerning fan as anti condensation
device.
ƒ Child lock feature is already present in a number of competitor
appliances and has subsequently been removed from the patent
issues list.
Self Test
ƒ after power reset, the ice maker electronic control always
performs a self test, on condition that the temperature
measured by the ice maker NTC is higher than 15°C
ƒ auger motor turns 95°+ 55° backwards, then 95° forward
(anti-clumping function)
ƒ ice cube tray performs a twisting cycle
ƒ ice bin lid opens and closes
ƒ If all connections to the user interface are OK, all LEDs
will light sequentially, after which the dispenser lighting
remains on, dimmed to 50%
