Disabling the SuperNode Function with KaZaA.
1. Launch the KaZaA application by double clicking on the “KaZaA Media Desktop” icon on
your desktop.
2. Click “Tools” on the menu bar and then select “Options…”

3. The “Options” window will appear. Click the “Advanced” tab.
4. Click the check box preceding “Do not function as a SuperNode.” A check mark will
appear in the box.

5. Click “OK” to confirm the setting.

Disabling File Sharing with KaZaA.

Launch the KaZaA application by double clicking on the “KaZaA Media Desktop” icon on
your desktop.
7. Click “Tools” on the menu bar and then select “Options…”

8. The “Options” window will appear. Click the “Traffic” tab.
9. Click the check box preceding “Disable sharing of files with other KaZaA members.” A
check mark will appear in the box.

10. Click “OK” to confirm the setting.

Uninstalling KaZaA for Windows 2000
1. Click on the “Start” button, generally found at the bottom left corner of the screen.
2. Select “Settings” and then click “Control Panel”
3. Double click “Add/Remove Programs”

4. The “Add/Remove Programs” window will appear, listing the programs installed on your
computer. Scroll through the list until you see “KaZaA Media Desktop.” Click on “KaZaA
Media Desktop” and then click the “Change/Remove” button.
5. A “KaZaA Media Desktop Uninstall” window will appear. Click the “Yes” button to
uninstall KaZaA.

6. When KaZaA has been successfully uninstalled you will see the following window. Click
“OK” to close it.

Click on “KaZaA Media Desktop” and then click the “Add/Remove…” button near the
bottom right corner of the window.
11. A “KaZaA Media Desktop Uninstall” window will appear. Click the “Yes” button to
uninstall KaZaA.

12. When KaZaA has been successfully uninstalled you will see the following window. Click
“OK” to close it.
