Design Aim: Riders looking for simple, no-fuss performance. The Park is a performance-focused kite condensed into an easy, simple package.
The Park’s three-strut design is stable and responsive.
This configuration, combined with a powerful profile
and full outline gives the Park the consistent pull of a
“C” type kite and the power control of a swept kite.
The swept leading edge positions the wingtips behind

This proven airframe design delivers maximum
pop and lift. The non-swept outline aligns the center of effort with the tow point for perfect loading
through the canopy at all times resulting in power
through the turn.
Power Foil Canopy
Swept Compact C
Blending the pop and lift of a C-kite with the power
control and turning of a swept leading edge kite. In
addition, the Swept Compact C-shape also provides
ideal relaunch capabilities.
The Power Foil Canopy has horizontal seam shaping instead of
vertical, which makes the canopy
looser than with Geo Tech construction. The result is a kite that

Geo-Tech
Straight segments along the leading edge provide constant tension
on the canopy. This forms perfect foil definition. It maintains

The angle of attack on the wing tips has been increased
to keep them more actively engaged. When bar input is
added, the wingtip instantly reacts and produces drag,
while the opposite wing tip instantly accelerates, which
creates quicker turning.

This proven, quick, and easy single point inflation system creates uniform pressure in the struts and leading
edge. The Naish exclusive one way internal valve ensures that the pressure in the struts does not change
during turns.

The new LWR (Light Wind Relaunch) gives the rider complete confidence when going out in the lightest of wind. This

The Shift System has the fifth line locked in one direction
at the split of the front line, so that it can only been pulled
from the rider’s side, which depowers the kite instantly. It
also supports the arc, allowing the Torch to have a small
leading edge diameter for superior performance.

This wing tip geometry reduces the overall surface
on the non-lifting portion and greatly reduces drag.
The more efficient the lift/drag ratio becomes, the
faster the wing tip can move through the air, which
allows the kite to be both quicker and more responsive

Vertical Seam Struts
NEW - Solid Frame Construction
Every strut is now attached to a frame of heavy
duty Dacron that is then sewn onto the canopy for
unmatched resistance to wear and heavy load.
A reduction in the number of pieces used in the
struts means more precision in defining the canopy
profile. The seams are also reinforced with an extra layer of webbing, and double zigzag stitches to
avoid breakage.

The Thorn CC delivers the most direct power for lightwind efficiency, upwind drive and explosive freestyle
pop on-demand. The Thorn’s relatively more parallel
outline, wider tips and low rocker-line perfectly balance
locked-in grip with essential control.
We described the 2010 Thorn CC as having the “power
to win”. And win it did. Kevin Langeree rode the 2010
Thorn CC 132cm to the top of the podium to finish as the
2009 PKRA World Champion.
The development objective from Kevin for 2011 was to
add more board control for landing fully powered, but
without sacrificing any of the Thorn’s blistering top
speed. We met this objective by tuning the flex in the
midsection of the board.

The addition of composite I-beams through the wood
core locked the top and bottom laminates into a highertension framework. This keeps the board from distorting
under the extreme loads of hard landings. The last 20%
to the tips of the board remain without I-beams to retain
a softer flex, freeing up the lively responsiveness of the
Thorn’s carbon-composite construction.

All Thorn CC, Momentum and Haze boards
feature a tip-to-tip solid wood core with a highlydeveloped thickness taper, and utilize a hybrid of
different densities of vertically laminated wood.
This new core is combined with top and bottom
laminates unique to each range. Each model is

The flex character, reflex response, anti-vibration,
anti-distortion, weight and durability combination
of the 2010 CC construction has been tuned into a
higher-tension framework for 2011. The addition of
composite I-beams through the wood core locks
the top and bottom laminates.
Optimized Response Flex
The Optimized Response Flex is specifically tailored in combination with the Thorn CC's outline
and rocker. It is moderately soft under lighter loads
to allow the board to dynamically respond to input,
while progressively stiffing in flex under higher
loads to retain direct energy transfer between the
rider and the board.

Originally developed for the 2009 Thorn, this construction system builds a unique framework of different composite laminates over the top and bottom of the board interlocked by composite I-beams through the wood core.
When combining the NASA/TECH-2 laminates with the
Momentum's exclusive rocker and outline, the result is
a completely new performance. The Momentum rides
amazingly higher, faster and smoother than with any
other construction/shaping combination.
Pro Park Performance
Whether you are pushing the limits of wakestyle riding
like Sam Light or you are trying a load and pop a trick for
the first time, the Momentum’s insane pop and forgiving
handling will excel your riding to the next level.
This lamination system is the same platform used on
all our 2011 twin tips. The highest quality materials
constructed in an exclusive, high-tech process makes
Naish the industry's highest performance kiteboards.
Our softest-tension flex (Active Flex) was enhanced
with a revised core thickness taper at the tips for a
more positive response performance. Power, efficiency, upwind drive and tracking were improved
while still retaining easy control.

Freeride Performance
On these laminates, the board is fully wrapped again in
high-density, closed-cell foam.
Unlike Pro Performance boards, which are hightuned with aggressive shaping and flex for advanced freestyle riders, Freeride Performance
boards are tuned-down for easier control and rider
versatility.
The EPS core of every board is shaped by hand then the
entire deck and bottom are wrapped in composite laminates, over-lapping on the rails.
After laminating additional layers of reinforcement, the
board is finished with the final layers of composite laminates over the entire deck and bottom, once again overlapping on the rails.
The result is the strongest possible strength to weight
ratio for the ultimate in boardriding performance.
