Racing improves the breed! For some, of course, this is nothing more than a cliché. But
at Yamaha, racing has always been an important part of our product development and
evaluation process. That’s equally true of our performance line: GYTR. To let us prove
our point, look no further than our high-performance Ported Cylinder Head Assembly. It’s
backed by some of our most extensive development and comprehensive testing to date.
We perfected the head flow characteristics and then meticulously digitized the ports to get the precise dimensions for CNC machining. Unlike the flow variations you can get from hand porting, CNC porting allows us to perfectly reproduce the maximized
flow design with every cylinder head we manufacture. The head comes as a full, ready-to-install assembly complete with valve train and GYTR performance
camshafts. This cylinder head, along with our complete GYTR Race Exhaust System are designed to compete at the top level… and they’ve already done
exactly that with Dustin Nelson snagging the QuadCross® championship this past year aboard his YFZ450R equipped with all of GYTR’s top performance

system is the optimum exhaust system for the YFZ450R
and YFZ450X. Hard-anodized oval aluminum muffler shell.

4. GYTR Ported Cylinder Head Assembly
Through extensive development, with flow bench, dyno, and
track testing, we achieved optimum power from our GYTR
ported cylinder head. Once we perfected the head flow
characteristics, we meticulously digitized the ports to obtain
the precise dimensions needed for CNC machining. Unlike
flow variations inherent in hand porting, CNC porting lets us
accurately reproduce this maximized flow design with every
cylinder head manufactured. Cylinder head comes as a readyto-install assembly, with valve train and GYTR Performance
Camshafts pre-assembled. Can be used with stock or GYTR

sacrificing any low-end power. Manufactured to exact specifications using special cam-grinding CNC machines. Special

6. GYTR High Compression Piston Kit
Increase engine compression ratio to 13.2:1 (stock is 11.4:1).
Offers 1.5 to 3 hp increase throughout most of the power
band. No crankshaft rebalancing necessary. Piston is forged
aluminum with machined valve pockets for additional valve
clearance when higher lift camshafts are used. Includes piston
rings, piston pin, and clips (uses stock replacements). Uses
stock gaskets (not included). Requires use of a minimum
100-octane racing fuel.

GYTR Clutch Components
GYTR clutch components are precision-machined from aerospace-quality aluminum alloys with a unique hard coating.
This provides superior performance and clutch feel, as well
as excellent component durability. The “auto oiling system”
forces oil through specially cut holes in the pressure plate,
into the inner hub, and then to the clutch plates. This results
in improved clutch performance, with lower clutch temperatures, less clutch expansion, and extended clutch life.

ATV Racing Chains by D.I.D
520GDO (Chain Type A = O-Ring) – The GDO model is one
of the finest O-Ring chains on the market. The GDO chain is
extremely durable with low maintenance. Chain comes with
one clip-type and one rivet-type master link. Individual master
links also available separately.
Tensile strength = 8000 lb.
520GDX (Chain Type B = Quadra-Ring) – The GDX model
is a premiere GYTR Quadra-Ring (X-shaped O-ring) chain.
This chain offers the ultimate balance of performance and
durability. It has up to 50% longer life with less friction than
a traditional O-Ring-type chain. The GDX chain comes with

5. Auto Tune for Power Commander® V
Once installed, the Auto Tune Kit monitors the fuel mixture (by
installing the included Wide Band O2 sensor in the exhaust).
It then sends this information to the Power Commander® V
and automatically corrects it while you ride. Each map has
preset air/fuel ratio values included that have been found to
be the best overall settings. This lets you simply plug in the
unit and let it do the work. For advanced users that would
like to change the air/fuel ratios from baseline, they are fully
adjustable. Each throttle opening/rpm combination is individually adjustable. For most models of bikes it is also possible
to adjust the air/fuel ratios “per gear.” This gives you total
control of the fueling in every gear and throttle/ rpm area if
