Inspired By Decades Of Experience
and
I got my first bow in 1957. I realize now how fortunate
I was to be introduced to archery at such an early age. As my
interest in the romance of archery grew, I was inspired by the
adventures of Fred Bear, Howard Hill, Saxton Pope, Art Young
and the legacy of Ishi – men who were focused on mastering
the bow and arrow, and were willing to help others by passing
on what they had figured out.
When the compound bow came about in the '70s it
broadened the appeal of archery for many people. I must admit
the compound bow threatened my love of archery when it first

came on the scene. The compound bow didn’t seem to require
the amount of dedication of my old self-made long bow. And the compound, at first glance, didn’t appear to have
the romantic appeal of what we now call “traditional” archery equipment. I would soon learn that the compound
took a different focus and discipline than a traditional bow – but was just as challenging to master. And, of course,
you still had to get close to the game you were after.
Since that time, the evolution of the compound bow has taken many paths as the craft has grown and been
refined. With the opportunity to be involved with Bear® Archery, the Primos® Team was empowered to work with
Bear’s engineers and product development team to create a bow that would give us hunters the feel and romance
of what peaked our interest in archery to begin with.
I am truly thrilled with Bear’s The TRUTH® Bow! It is a smooth drawing and shooting bow. The draw curve feels
natural as the arrow slides back across the rest, and the single cam has a solid wall that transfers the energy down
range. The bow is really quiet and vibration free. It gives you and me a balance between speed and forgiveness.
All the things we, as hunters, look for in a bow are built into The TRUTH® Bow.
