General Information To Register
Registration opens August 3, and will continue
until classes are full or are canceled due to
lack of enrollment. People must register for
classes unless otherwise noted. Registration and
payment must be received at least five business
days before class start date. Classes will be
canceled if minimum enrollment has not been
met five business days before class start date.
Accepted payment methods are listed below.
All programs are held at Fife Community Center,
unless otherwise noted.
Refund Policy
No refunds will be issued 5 days or less prior
to program start date. If you withdraw from a
program/activity prior to the start date, fees paid
will be placed back on users account minus a $5
service fee. Funds placed back on users account
may be used in the form of a discount towards a
future program/activity or may be requested as
a refund. If not used within 90 days all remaining
funds will be forfeited.
Medical Insurance
Participants in Fife PRCS programs should have
their own medical insurance to cover any injuries
sustained while participating in any activity
sponsored by the PRCS Department. Fife PRCS is
not financially responsible for medical expenses.

Inclement Weather
If the Fife School District is closed due to
inclement weather, all PRCS programs are
canceled. Call the Community Center or Pool if
you have additional questions.
Photo Policy
Fife PRCS staff may videotape or take photos
of participants in programs and special events.
Those photos may be used for promoting our
classes, events, programs or to display online.

FIFE FARMERS MARKET
The City of Fife is located right off of the
I-5 corridor, making it a convenient stop to
purchase your local fresh veggies, fruit and
berries, flowers, eggs, milk and more. The
Fife Farmers Market will be held at Dacca
Park, to allow kids to play, while parents
peruse the market. There will be special
events and live entertainment.

FIFE HARVEST FESTIVAL
Sponsored by Fife Towing
The 11th Annual Harvest Festival features
free admission, tons of free activities and
is held rain or shine. Jump on your tractor
and head down! Highlights include, but
are certainly not limited to, Council Corn
on the Cob, hay rides, facepainting, live
entertainment, western village, and much
more. Whether you want to be in the parade,
become a vendor, or just enjoy the free all
day activities, we want you to be there.

HALLOWEEN CARNIVAL
Tricks, treats and treasures await your whole
family at the annual Fife Police Department
Halloween Carnival. Free flashlights, goody
bags and more for every little pumpkin.

PRINCESS PARTY
Grab your tiara and dance on over to the
Community Center Castle. There will be
dancing, singing, music and a fun project to

HOLIDAY TREE LIGHTING
WITH SANTA
Santa trades in his sleigh for a fire truck.
Come celebrate the season with the Mayor

Kidz Love Soccer (Ages 2–10)
Since 1979, Kidz Love Soccer has been
dedicated to teaching children the world’s
most popular sport within a nurturing,
recreational environment. A typical session
experience includes age appropriate
activities: skill demonstrations, fun games,
and instructional scrimmages. Young
soccer enthusiasts experience soccer fun in
a safe, non-competitive environment. Kidz

Teen Scene (Middle School Ages)
We provide a fun and safe place for students
to hang out after- school that encourages

at the Fife Community Center. 24 Student

Boot Camp
Turn your body into a calorie burning
machine with Boot Camp style group
training. We’ll shock your body into the next
level of fitness with workouts that change
each week. Using the ‘Metabolic Training’
model to maximize calorie burn and AFTER
workout calorie burn while encouraging your
body to gain muscle while simultaneously
burning fat. All fitness levels welcome. First
Class is free if you would like to try it out.

Sneakers site. This program gives adults 65+
on Medicare with the following supplemental

Premera Blue Cross, Providence Health Plan,
Regence Blue Shield of Washington and
Soundpath Health, access to the following
classes at the Community Center for no cost.
Silver Sneakers classes are available to all
people 50+ for a fee.

AAA Driver Improvement
American Driving Services is offering a
refresher course on defensive driving skills.
The course gives practical guidance for traffic
accident prevention and enhances driver
safety and confidence. Successful course
completion qualifies drivers 55 years of age
and over for automobile insurance premium
discounts. Check with your insurance agent
for the amount and duration of the discount.
To register for the class, please mail your
payment of $18.00/person (checks only)
payable to American Driving Services, P.O.

The non–refundable fee is transferable to
another class at any locations. A confirmation

Questions about MEDICARE?
SHIBA, (Statewide Health Insurance Benefit
Advisors), is a free and unbiased Medicare
counseling service provided by the WA State
Office of Insurance Commissioner. SHIBA
volunteer counselors can help you navigate
the Medicare system, make informed
decisions, know your rights and assist you in
spotting fraud attempts.
Monthly, in person, SHIBA counseling is
available at the Fife Community Center.
Join SHIBA counselor, Jayne on the 3rd
Wednesday monthly. Jayne will give a
short Medicare educational talk at 11 a.m.
and then will be available for one on one
assistance from 12–2 p.m. Come ready with
your Medicare questions. For over the phone
assistance at any other time, call the SHIBA
helpline at (253) 596-0918.

MOHAI
We are going back to MOHAI one last
time! MOHAI is the place to discover
Seattle, to connect with our region and
its rich history, and to explore your role
in creating our future. The Seattle story
is told through thousands of rare objects
and historic images, and cutting edge
hands-on interactive experiences for all
ages that make history come alive with the
unforgettable stories of the men and women
who built Seattle from wilderness to world
city. Whether a first time visitor, or a lifelong
resident, MOHAI is the museum where you
explore Seattle past and present. Lunch not
included.

Meet me in St. Louis- Musical
We will be traveling to the Tacoma Musical
Theatre to join the Smith family, this holiday
season, at the 1904 World’s Fair, and see
how their love and respect for each other
is tempered with the genuine humor that
can only be generated by such a special
family. Like the 1944 film, the stage version
features a magical score of memorable
musical numbers, including The Boy Next
Door,” “The Trolley Song,” “Have Yourself
a Merry Little Christmas,” and several songs
created especially for the stage version of
this celebrated Family Classic!

Leavenworth Tree Lighting Festival
Join us for the most wonderful time of
the year, when our quaint Bavarian town
becomes a Village of Lights (over half a
million of them!) and holiday cheer abounds!
We will be leaving early to spend the
day in Leavenworth, WA for their holiday
festivities, live music, shopping, and their
annual Tree Lighting Ceremony. Interested
in making this an over-night trip? If we can
plan early enough we can make this happen!
Otherwise, let’s spend the day stress free and
enjoy the holiday spirit!

Dacca Park is a beautiful and scenic area
with four fields for softball and baseball,
a basketball court, sand volleyball court,
concession stand, play equi pment, and
track. In the fall the baseball fields are
converted to soccer fields. Combine these
attributes with ample free parking, direct
freeway access, clean restrooms, and
competitive rental pricing, Dacca Park is

Registration for all sessions opens August 3.
Registration is on a first come, first serve basis.
Each session has its own registration deadline.
Registration can be done in person, by phone
or online at cityoffife.org. Payment is due at
time of registration. There is a $10 late fee if
registering after the registration deadline.
Lesson Fees
Fall weekday sessions are 8 class sessions.
• $50 for residents
• $55 for non-residents
Sessions with holidays or closures will be
prorated or adjusted accordingly.
Sat/Sun Sessions are 6–7 class sessions.

Pool Refund Policy
No refunds will be issued after the start date
of the session. Refunds requested before the
start date of a session may be issued within
90 days of original purchase minus a $5 service
fee. Refunds issued may be left on the users
account in the form of a discount towards a
future class and will be valid for 90 days.

park is adjacent to the Fife
Aquatic Center. Colburn Park
has a nice picnic area for
families as well as swings and
playground equipment. The
playground is a great place to
play either before or after a
swim at the pool.
This beautiful .75 mile loop
treats visitors to a wonderful
nature experience. The trail
winds through 24 acres of
wetland area to give patrons
exposure to a variety of
habitats. It is our little oasis in
the urban environment.
