Acne treatments only work if they get used. All you need to do is find a teenager who’s interested. Easier said than done. Not if you prescribe Zindaclin. This gel has been judged the most acceptable prescribed topical antibiotic treatment for mild to moderate acne.1 It only has to be applied once a day; doesn’t need to be mixed with any other ingredient; and can be kept in their rooms, instead of the fridge.2 Which means teenagers can be bothered to use it. Zindaclin even has a 2-year shelf life, but we don’t think you’ll be needing that.2 Zindaclin – First-line treatment for mild to moderate acne. O N C E A DAY G E T S U S E D, G E T S R E S U LT S . ZINDACLIN 1% Gel Abbreviated Prescribing Information. Presentation: Zindaclin 1% Gel contains clindamycin phosphate 1.2 %w/w equivalent to clindamycin 1% w/w. Indication: The treatment of mild to moderate acne vulgaris. Posology: Apply a thin film once daily to the affected area; Patient response should be reviewed after 6 to 8 weeks of treatment and the duration of treatment should be limited to 12 weeks. Not for use in children under 12 years of age. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to clindamycin or any of the gel ingredients. Patients sensitive to lincomycin. Warnings and Precautions: If diarrhoea occurs with use, discontinue immediately (risk of pseudomembranous colitis). If diarrhoea does not resolve on discontinuation of clindamycin, further investigation is recommended. Prolonged use of clindamycin and other antibiotics may cause resistance. Avoid contact with the eyes and mucous membranes; bathe with copious amounts of water should contact occur. Pregnancy and Lactation: Caution when administering to pregnant women. Avoid use whilst breastfeeding. Undesirable effects: Adverse effects occur in up to 10% of patients; these include dry skin, erythema and burning, irritation around eyes, acne exacerbation, pruritus, scaly rash, and painful skin.
