Located in the Eola Hills, ten minutes south of
Amity, Bethel Heights is a family owned and
operated winery producing Pinot Noir, Chardonnay,
Pinot Blanc, and Pinot Gris. The tasting room and
picnic area overlook a panoramic view below, and
Mt. Jefferson in the distance.
Fanning’s Daffodil Farm

The Fanning Farm has two acres of daffodils,
featuring over 150 varieties in a picturesque setting
overlooking Amity and the surrounding hills. A
checkpoint for the Volkswalk is also located here.
The Brigittine Monastery

The Brigittine Monks are a Roman Catholic order
Founded in 1370 by St. Bridget of Sweden. The
monastery moved to Amity in January of 1986,
and now supports itself by making gourmet fudge
and truffles. Visitors are welcome to sample and
buy these confections at the guest reception area.

Located just north of Amity lives a herd of over 100
alpacas. Raising breeding stock and pet/fiber animals, you are
sure to find an alpaca perfect for your small
acreage! You’ll also find an alpaca country store carrying
“everything alpaca” from alpaca fiber to yarn, sweaters,
socks, rugs, and everything in between. Free farm tours with
hands-on the animals and picnic area. If we’re home, were
open!

Cornus sericia, Cornus sericia ‘Flaviramea’, Rhus
typina, Arbutus Unedo ‘Compacta’, Euonymus alata
‘Compacta’, Plantanus acerfolia ‘Bloodgood’,
Crataegus ambigua, (rugosa rose, redtwig dogwood,
yellowtwig dogwood, staghorn sumac, strawberry
shrub, dwarf burning brush, London plane tree,
Russian hawthorn) and several varieties of daffodils.

Experience local farming history as you view vintage farm
equipment and learn more about the equipment and items
used by the farming and timber families in the Yamhill Valley. Museum open Saturday 10am-3pm. No cost, donations
always welcome.
History
The Amity Daffodil Festival began in 1995 as a class project of the Hospitality, Tourism and
Recreation class at Amity High School. Students work on planning and organizing the Festival throughout the school year as part of their course curriculum. Proceeds go toward future daffodil festivals and the
Amity Daffodil Festival Scholarship Fund. The Mac Trackers and students work together on Volkswalk
publicity, volunteer recruitment and planning for the walks.

The Amity Daffodil Festival is an educational program of Amity School District 4J
and is produced by the Hospitality, Tourism and Recreation class of Amity High
School in cooperation with the Oregon Daffodil Society, the Mac Trackers Walking
Club and the ADF Mentoring Team. Proceeds underwrite Festival expenses and projects and the Amity Daffodil Festival Scholarship Fund.
