Who We Are
Since our start as a hardware supply business in 1954, LaForce has grown to become a leader in the door, frame and
hardware industry. Throughout the years, we’ve added products, services and locations to support our customers’
growing needs. Our services have grown to include security integration, certified fire door inspections, specification
writing, custom manufacturing, installation and pre-installation. Today, LaForce is one of the largest providers of commercial doors, frames, door hardware, security and building specialties in the United States.

LaForce contributes to both Lean construction and green practices through its pre-installation (shop applied) service
by installing door hardware prior to doors being shipped to the job site. LaForce’s installers are able to catch manufacturing or product defects and rectify them prior to the doors arriving at the project, making more efficient use of the
time taken on site to install the doors. Our shop applied process allows all packaging and scraps to be recycled rather
than being left in the job site dumpster, which then goes to the landfill. As an added bonus, when door hardware is
shop applied, the doors are delivered closer to the on-site installation date, thereby reducing chances the doors will
be damaged on the job site.

Metal doors and metal door frames are the main products manufactured in LaForce’s shop. It is the customization of these
products that makes LaForce unique, allowing customers to design openings to enhance their building's appearance. In the frame
shop, most design requests can be fabricated. In both the wood and metal door shop, standard or conversion doors can be
modified, reworked, and prepped for unique hardware.
