Fagowee of the Month
Our December Fagowee of the Month goes out to a deserving member
that always goes out of his way, and always has a smile on his face. We could use
more members like him.
He never say’s no when asked to help, willing to assist every event. He is always
willing to work events when not scheduled, he jumps in to make sure that everyone
and everything is ok. The first person to carry your gear up the hill without being
asked , because he wants to help you.
He was co-leader on a trip this year and is talking about some events that he
would like to do in 2012, and I am sure that they would be a big success.
He is a member of the Race Team, was bumped to “ B Men after 1 year. His big
claim to fame, crashing on the big hill at Bristol Combined Super G. He has also won the “ Horse’s Ass
Award “ for skiing out of his bindings at Boston Mills, this of all places !!
He wore a “ Peep “ costume even though he didn’t want to, he did it anyway for the good of the order.
Way to go !!
Annie E. always called him “ My Wes “ She told Yvonne that she “ took my Wes away “ She was told
by Yvonne that “ He is still and will always be your Wes “
Our December 2011 Fagowee Of The Month award goes out to a most deserving member. When you
see him at a meeting or event please stop and give him a pat on the back for a great job he does.
Congrats Wes G.!

EUCHRE!
November 5th proved to be another night of
euchre mahem at Cynthia’s house in Medina.
Nineteen people showed up to play some
serious cards. Since we had an odd number,
we had 4 tables of 4 & one table for the
threesome. Threesomes are always good,
though, right? Luckily, the x-rated cards were
around to give everyone some ideas! Ha!
“Welcome” to some newcomers, Cliff W., Tom
L., Kevin N., Len S., Dena R., Dev, Mike D.,
Dana G., & Donna B. Everyone pitched in with
bringing a great variety of food, complete with
tasty side dishes, appetizers & desserts. After 12 games, beginning at 6:40 p.m. until about midnight, the winners
were: Cynthia S. with $32, Bill W. with $15, and Mike D. with $10. If you haven’t been able to join us yet, keep up
with your euchre skills by going to pogo.com & play against the “robots” or the computer so that by the time January
28th rolls around, you can come & see what this euchre craze is all about! See you again on Saturday, January 28th
at a place yet to be determined . . .
“The skis are coming out and the bikes are being put away, but don’t let that stop you from planning your next
cycling challenge! Next year, consider joining Team CMSC for the 2012 Pan Ohio Hope ride to raise funds for
the American Cancer Society! The team is headed by Fagowee members Shelli S and Bill W and over the next
several months, they will be working on sponsorships, PR, and much more. So keep an eye out, and in the mean
time, consider joining Team CMSC by signing up here:
http://main.acsevents.org/goto/TeamCMS
(donations can be made at the site as well)
Not sure if a 4 days ride is for you? Then volunteering! Every little bit helps!
Remember…the snow may be flying soon, but your bike is looking forward to next season!
ACCEPT THE CHALLENGE!”

2012 Fagowee Race Update v1.0
Greeting Race Fans and welcome to our 1st edition of the 2012 Fagowee Race team update coming to you LIVE from a PC not far
from you. Unfortunate for you, your race chairs are back for our 2012 season, Tedders, Caryn and Tom. We are in the fund raising
portion of our year and making every attempt to get your race fees as close to ZERO as possible. So Tom, how can I help? First
off, thanks to everyone who helped with our Fagowee Celebrity Bartending event at the 2011 Cleveland Ski Show. We brought in
$2.41 to our race program. At least we didn’t lose money and start in the hole. Returning this year was our popular bake sale with
Tommy’s BALLZ and my favorite, chocolate covered BACON !! Guys like BACON, what can we say !! We brought in just under
$300 for the team. Next up will be our Keg and Get to Know You raffle. So get your tickets and try to win great prizes. After that
we have the fun and exciting SLAVE AUCTION the first meeting in December !! No, I am not slaving myself out, just remember
who does work assignments. Beer goes a loooong way in helping secure the right week *just sayin*.
We will begin handing out our paper edition of what races you plan on attending in 2012 during the November and December
meetings. Just to get the ball rolling and get us all into the gate bashing SPIRITS !!
If you need to contact us, you know how -1-800-call-someone-else (wink, wink). Use our email address located on our fabulous
website [email protected].
Here is something to think about:
“The world land speed record requires the minimum of skill, and the maximum of courage.”
So letz go out there and set some land speed records this year ‘cuz us Fagowees are known for our minimal skillz.
How many days until ski season starts?
