NO, we do not stay in tents, NO, all the meals do not come out of a can, and YES, there is running water at the camp with bathroom and shower facilities. This is a camp for 4 th – 8th graders ONLY. It is a small and relaxed camp, where you will rotate through sessions focused all on outdoor related topics. Sessions include such things as tent building, campfire building, orienteering, first-aid, canoeing and outdoor cooking. Free time opportunities give you the chance to go fishing and just socialize with others. “Camp Roughin’ It” will be July 20-22 at Lake Bistineau State Park, and the cost is $45. This fee will include transportation, meals, lodging, T-shirt, and provide the supplies needed to have a great time at camp. We can take only 10 people, so the first 10 to turn in all the paperwork and fee will have a spot. Any others that are interested will go on a waiting list.
