Le rocce sedimentarie sono il risultato del
ricompattamento ciclico di tutte le altre pietre
che avviene attraverso il movimento tettonico
generato da enormi forze attive da miliardi di
anni fin dalla formazione della crosta terrestre.
Alcune di esse sono costituite da accumuli
di sedimenti stratificati ed altre invece hanno
un aspetto massivo dove la stratificazione è
meno evidente.

Ogni sedimento è una fonte di dati geologici
che parla di noi e della storia del nostro pianeta.
Geostone nasce dall’attenta analisi di una
grande varietà di rocce sedimentarie. Un lungo
ed approfondito studio è stato effettuato nei
laboratori Piemmegres per armonizzarle tra
loro e per trasformarle nel migliore materiale
che la tecnologia italiana potesse mettere
a disposizione dell’architettura e dell’interior
design.

GEOSTONE BLEND SELECTION
Le lastre in grès porcellanato Geostone
sono un blend selezionato di numerose
rocce sedimentarie e risultano esteticamente
differenti l’una dall’altra, ma insieme sono
capaci di donare grande omogeneità
cromatica all’ambiente in cui sono posate.
E’ così possibile ottenere un’elegante armonia
stilistica posando lastre apparentemente
molto diverse fra loro, grazie anche ai formati
miscelabili come il 45x90 ed i listoni 22,5x90
oppure il 30x60 ed il 60x60.
The Geostone stoneware slabs
are a selected blend of several
sedimentary
rocks
and
are
aesthetically very different from
each other, but together provide
great chromatic homogeneity
to the environment in which
they are laid. In this way it’s
possible to obtain an elegant
stylistic
harmony
by
laying
slabs apparently very different
from each other, thanks also to
mixable formats such as 45x90
and 22,5 x90 or 30x60 and
60x60.

Geostone-Feinsteinzeugplatten
sind ein ausgewählter Mix aus
zahlreichen Sedimentgesteinen
und unterscheiden sich
optisch voneinander; in ihrer
Gesamtheit verleihen sie jedoch
dem Raum, in dem sie verlegt
sind, eine farblich einheitliche
Wirkung. So lässt sich durch
Kombination scheinbar sehr
unterschiedlicher Platten eine
elegante Stilharmonie erzeugen,
was auch durch die aufeinander
abgestimmten Formate wie
45x90 und 22,5x90 bzw. 30x60
und 60x60 erleichtert wird.

ainsi possible de parvenir à une
harmonie stylistique parfaite en
posant des dalles apparemment
très différentes et en mélangeant
des formats comme le 45x90,

Leed e’ un sistema di certificazione volontario, per la progettazione, costruzione e gestione
di edifici sostenibili ad alte prestazioni; promuove un sistema di progettazione integrata che
riguarda l’intero edificio ed i materiali con i quali è realizzato.
È sviluppato dall’U.S. GREEN BUILDING COUNCIL (USGBC) associazione che fornisce un
approccio globale alla sostenibilità dando un riconoscimento alle performance virtuose in
aree chiave della salute umana ed ambientale.
Il sistema Leed si basa sull’attribuzione di crediti/punti per ciascuno dei requisiti che
caratterizzano la sostenibilita’ dell’edificio.
Dalla somma dei crediti deriva il livello di certificazione ottenuto (Platino: 80 e oltre;
Oro: 60/79; Argento: 50/59; Base: 40/49).
Piemme è associata al Green Building Council Italia e sostiene con forza l’evoluzione dell’edilizia
verso l’eco-sostenibilità, impegnandosi ogni giorno per migliorare tecnologia e prodotti verso

LEED Certification
LEED is a voluntary certification
system for the design, construction
and operation of high-performance
sustainable buildings; it promotes an
integrated design system that covers
the whole building and the materials
with which it is realized. It has been
developed by the U.S. GREEN
BUILDING COUNCIL (USGBC), an
association that provides a global
approach to sustainability by rewarding
virtuous practice in key areas of human
and environmental health. The system
is based on the award of credits
for each aspect of the building’s
sustainability. The level of certification
achieved depends on the sum of the
credits awarded (Platinum: 80 and
over; Gold: 60/79; Silver: 50/59;
Base: 40/49). Piemme is a member
of the Green Building Council Italia
and strongly supports the evolution of
building towards eco-sustainability
by strong daily commitment towards
upgrading technologies and products
in order to achieve this important goal.
