Rudy, Debbie and I spent much of February in Florida at the Miami Boat Show,
middle keys and Key West. It gets my motor running to see all these water
activities in Florida in the winter. The boat shows across America are selling
boats at a very fast pace. As we return up north it looks like nearly spring for
Iowa. I’m so excited, as we have a big, big inventory of new Cobalts, Crownlines,
South Bay and Harris. The early bird gets the choice of colors and engines. We
hope to be putting boats in the water in March. Squeezing in some boating days
this early wouldn’t hurt you would it? There’s so much new for 2016, including
the front drive, lightweight engines, new colors, new models. It’s your time.
We have so many new projects in the works. It’s going to be a great summer of
surprises at Okoboji. Our new rack storage building will probably start in March.
It will eventually include private showers and toilets, cafe, meeting rooms, board
walk, play areas and later, probably a new swimming pool. Our rack and hoist
customers will have access to a new parking area too! The Barefoot will have a
new look. I won’t tell you about it, but you will be surprised and pleased. We’ve
even improved our
boat parking.
Our cruise boats, all 8 of them and two more in production,
are booking up. We have a new Cruise and Marketing Director
at Okoboji Boat Works to handle your reservations. Ashley
Sorenson will be happy to assist you with all of your requests,
from cruising and catering, to reserving the Barefoot Bus or
booking one of our water sports lessons. She is your hostess
