May
Spring into Sumer Festival
This 2-day event is free to the public and will
include free carnival rides, pony rides, train
rides and various vendors. There will also be
several different variety shows. All activities will
start at 12 p.m. both days. There will be a free
concert Saturday night at the Viceroy
Performing Arts Center. This event will take
place at the War Memorial Walking Trail Park

September
The Annual Butterfly Festival
Held in September, children will be able to
make environmental arts and crafts projects
for free. There will be educational and
interactive stage shows. Interact with live
butterflies in their habitat in our Butterfly
House or take a tour of our beautiful Butterfly
Garden. All of this along with face painting,
bubble zone, pony and train rides! The event
will conclude with our live butterfly release of
up to 1000 butterflies.

Airborne Division and offer a full array of activities,

War Memorial Walking Trail

Located just off 1-24’s Exit 86,
the park pays homage to
Veterans from all U.S. wars and
conflicts by displaying a series of
markers along the wooded trail.
The park is well lit and features picnic
tables, benches and restrooms. Bring a
picnic and enjoy the scenery!

Halloween in Oak Grove
This free annual spooktacular event is filled
with fun for the whole family. Our Trick or
Treat maze brings in local businesses that
enable us to provide a safe environment for
children to Trick or Treat and our haunted
house is frightfully fun for the not so faint
of heart.

Evening with Santa
Though the weather outside maybe frightful
our activities are sure delightful;
This annual free event offers a variety of crafts,
a movie viewing room where Rudolph presents
Christmas Classics, a drawing for gift
giveaways with hot cocoa and cookies to
enjoy. Make sure to stop by and see Santa
and his helpers.

The War Memorial Disc Golf Course is an
Intermediate Level, 18-hole course, set in the
beautiful wooded setting of the War Memorial
Walking Trail. The PDGA professionally
designed course is flat with mature trees!
Veterans Picnic Pavilion

The Veteran’s Picnic Pavilion is
an open air gathering space that
seats 112 people. There are grills
and garbage cans on site and
water and electric are available.
The pavilion is open to the public
unless it has been reserved for a

designed to attract butterflies
throughout all phases of their lives.
This space not only plays host to these
enchanting creatures but it serves as a
place of relaxation and reflection.

According to deeds the Oak
Grove School building dates back
to either 1893 or 1900 but the
exact date is unknown. The
building, which the Tourism
Commission has tried to restore
with as much originality as
possible, will portray a one-room
schoolhouse setting from the late
1800s. Complete with antique
children's and teacher's desk,
along with potbellied stove and
blackboard, the Oak Grove School House will truly take its
visitors back in time. It will serve as a display for many of Oak
Grove's historical artifacts and documents.

A small-scale, farm distillery using
local grains to produce
quality, handmade distilled spirits
to include various whiskies, rum,
our authentic “True Kentucky
Shine” and whatever else we get
an itch to try out. We are open for
tours, tastings & product sales at
our distillery located off I-24, Exit
89. Tours and tastings are free of
charge and are given as soon as possible. Tours
typically last anywhere from 10 to 20 minutes, depending on
how many questions are asked. We ask that groups of 10 or

Located within Fort Campbell; traces
the history of the “Screaming Eagles”
from World War II engagements to
Vietnam to Operation Desert Storm.
Just outside the museum, various aircraft, military equipment and monuments are on display. These massive machines are sure to
capture the imagination of every child and child-at-heart.
This 351-foot concrete obelisk was
constructed to honor Jefferson Davis, the
Confederate President during the Civil War.
The monument is located at the site of
Davis’s birth. There is a visitors center, gift
shop and picnic area on the grounds.

A 170,00-acre outdoor playground, Land Between the Lakes
National Recreation Area is just a short
drive from Oak Grove. LBL is an inland
peninsula formed when the Cumberland
and Tennessee Rivers were impounded,
creating Kentucky Lake and Lake
Barkley. The area provides opportunities
for boating, fishing, hunting, horseback
riding, camping, and over 200 miles of
hiking trails.

stables offer pony rides for children age 9
and under, and guided trail rides for ages
