Training Class at a Customer Facility
We currently have approximately 30 sales representatives nationally promoting our products to architects,
interior designers and end users. After successful completion of the training session, your firm's name will be
placed on our list of approved installers. From time to time, our reps will advise your company of projects
where are products are listed in the specifications. Sometimes these will be negotiated projects, sometimes
they will be open bid projects. Almost all of the currently trained contractors find the installation of our products to be profitable work, as well as an opportunity to expand into the specialty
finishes market - the fastest growing segment of the paint and coatings industry.
Company History
Triarch’s Duroplex® system, first entered the market in 1985. Over the years, the product line expanded to include a
wide range of decorative and performance products such as Plexture®, SKIMM™, and FRESCO™ coatings. In 2003,
Triarch was acquired by Dryvit Systems, Inc., the North American leader in exterior insulated wall systems. The acquisition caused the company to relocate from Houston, Texas to the current headquarters in West Warwick, Rhode
Island. Triarch materials are produced in ISO 9001 & 14001 certified facilities.
Products
Today, Triarch operates as a division of Dryvit Systems
Inc. offering a wide range of architectural paints and
coatings for the interior and the exterior of commercial
and residential buildings. Examples of various projects can
be found under NOTABLE PROJECTS. Please refer to
our website under PRODUCTS for a detailed listing and
product technical data. All Triarch products conform to
sustainable building protocols as detailed in LEED and
Green Seal Indoor Air Quality documentation.

How we do it
Samples
Installation
Triarch provides standard and custom colored samples
for projects. In many cases, samples using our standard
colors and patterns are on our inventory shelves and
may be shipped promptly. Custom colors and custom
patterns may take up to 10 days to fabricate and ship.
Projects using below 1000 square feet of product may
have a small sample charge. Certain products have custom color limitations. Visit our website for images of completed projects. Speak with our sales representatives for
catalogs and additional information.
Triarch supplies our paint and plaster products to leading
decorative painting contractors. We conduct product
application sessions for installation contractors every
month. See our website under the navigation tab CONTRACTORS for more details. We supply a contractor
referral list of trained contractors by specific markets.
Call CUSTOMER SERVICE at 800-537-6111 for contractors near your project. Certain products, such as
KLONDIKE® and Collection of Joy™ may be easily applied by anyone with basic painting skills and does not
require a trained contractor.
Supply
Sustainability
Triarch supplies our paint and plaster products to global
markets from our four ISO certified plants around the
country. This means delivery times are short and freight
cost is kept to a minimum. Shown above are the 500 hundred mile radius from each of plants that would allow our
materials to meet LEED Regional Material credit 5.1.
Please check our website for the latest information on our
sustainable products and practices.
Advance preparation for a product application training class
Thank you for your interest in our materials. Our training class is typically (1) day per
product, although some products may be understood in less time. The goal of the class
is to impart the basic skills and knowledge behind the application of our materials. The
class will not make you an expert1, as it is only a one day program, but it should provide
you the knowledge to enable you to practice and refine your newly acquired skills.
Typically there are materials left over from the class that you may keep and use for
practice. We supplement the training session with manuals, videos, and samples for
your reference.
This class is for experienced painters and finish plasters. The class is not for individuals
learning to paint, or for apprentices with minimum paint application skills. We will teach
different ways to use paint & plaster skills as it relates to our materials, but a solid
background in application techniques, substrate differences, primers, working with
applied color, spray guns and masking techniques is both expected and necessary.
Listed below are approximate training times. Class size and previous experience of the
attendees will affect the speed of the class:





Duroplex – (1) day
Plexture – ½ day
Granyte – ½ day
Sand Storm – ½ day
Spatula Stuhhi – 2 days MINIMUM
Things you will need to have set up and ready for the training in advance of our arrival.
Duroplex and Plexture training class:
 A square drywall mixing paddle and variable speed electric drill.
 Drywall surface. Provide at least eight (8) 4x8 gypsum boards (256 sqft/23 m2). Four
(4) need to be firmly mounted to a wall or vertical frame. The floor should be
covered with a drop cloth, plastic or paper.
 A freewheeling roller frame and a 3/8” nap roller cover with extension pole.
 An air compressor with regulator and hose.
 If a Plexture class, you will need an airless spray rig.
 Plastic spray bottle with adjustable nozzle to spray water.
 Clean rags
 A block sponge
 Four 5-gal pails of clean water.
 Training materials we have shipped to you. This should arrive 1- 2 days prior to the
training.
1
Practice is required before your work will be commercially viable
Page | 1
Advance preparation for a product application training class
If Granyte products are the focus of the training, then:
 (2) 4’ X 8’ pieces of drywall hung horizontally on a wall. Typically, this sheet
would be about 2 ft. off the ground and extend to 6 ft. high.
 A piece of tape can be used to separate the sheet in two and one side can be
used to demo and one side can be used for practice.
 These products mix up differently…the best way is a B-MEW mixer from
Windlock.
 T-PFTAN float (Windlock) for the Granyte just to show another application
technique for that product.
 A roller frame and ½” knap roller sleeve for the colored Primer.
 A stainless steel plastering trowel is also required along with a hawk and margin
trowel.
If Spatula Stuhhi products are the focus of the training, then:




A roller frame and ½” knap roller sleeve for the GEXXO Primer.
Trowels provided with the training materials
Cotton rags for waxing
Drywall surface. Provide at least eight (8) 4x8 gypsum boards (256 sqft/23 m2).
Four (4) need to be firmly mounted to a wall or vertical frame. The floor should
be covered with a drop cloth, plastic or paper.
 Training materials provided by us
Typically we do not provide a formal training class for some of our other products, such
as Klondike and Collection of Joy. However we would be pleased to review them with
you during class time, but we will need to know your intentions in advance so we can
have materials prepared to demonstrate properly.
Thank you. We look forward to meeting you and a fun day.

Dear Prospective Customer;
QA Cover Letter and Qualifications
Thank you for your inquiry into our product line(s). As described to you over the phone, we provide a training
program on a number of our products including Duroplex® and Plexture®. We find that this approach helps improve
quality control, reduces costly application errors, and potentially increases your profits. Basically, this program
consists of 2 short and easy steps:
1. Complete and return the attached application, which includes the appropriate data for us to run a
credit check, so we can consider opening a trade account for you. Be sure to sign page 03 of the
application and return it to us.
2. After our acceptance of your application, we will coordinate with you to schedule a training program
for your people. This training will take place at your facilities, or at our training center in Rhode Island.
After successful completion of the training session, your firm's name will be placed on our list of approved
applicators. Then, our Sales Representatives will, from time to time, bring jobs to your firm in which there will be
limited competition. We currently have approximately 30 Reps nationally. Almost all of the currently trained
contractors find our products to be profitable work, as well as an opportunity to expand into the specialty finishes
market - the fastest growing segment of the paint and coatings industry.
To begin this new and rewarding association, simply complete and return the attached application. The
combination application and the credit check form helps us to quickly respond to your needs and evaluate your
firm's ability to handle our product. Pricing will not be released until we have received a completed application.
Note: In certain areas of the country, pricing will not be released until training is completed.
As far as the cost associated with the training, we try to minimize your cost through careful planning. We will
provide you a hard number so that you will know in advance what the training cost will be.
We look forward to working with your firm on this project as well as future work. Very shortly after we receive the
completed forms, we will contact you with the training cost options available to you. Once we have agreed on cost,
a training date will be scheduled and we will send you a confirmation letter along with the training date. At the
training, we will provide you with instructions, videotapes, specialized tools, and written support materials. Should
you have any questions or concerns, please call us on our
toll free line: 1.800.537.6111.
Thank you,

deliveries, or place a lien on the real estate. In the case of future deliveries, Seller may withhold deliveries until buyer
makes satisfactory cash or credit arrangements for payment of all
outstanding balances. If goods have already been delivered, Seller may withhold all future deliveries until Buyer makes

arrangements satisfactory to Seller, or to comply with such arrangements, Seller may demand in writing that Buyer
provide written assurances that Buyer is able to make payments under the terms of this contract. If Buyer does not
provide assurances acceptable to Seller within 10 days of receiving Seller’s demand, Seller may terminate the contract

5. MATERIAL SAFETY DATA SHEET: Seller will make available to Buyer through Triarch website a material safety
data sheet with information concerning the material and precautions to be taken in the material’s storage and handling.
Buyer shall be responsible for knowing all such information and precautions disclosed in the material safety data sheet,
and for conveying such information to persons who may be exposed to the material.
6. INSPECTION: Promptly upon receipt of all materials delivered under this contract, Buyer shall inspect such
materials for any damage, defect or shortage. All claims for shortage or non-delivery and any claim for damage or

value of materials sold under this contract may be substantially less than the value of final products in which Buyer
uses such materials. Therefore, Buyer bears all responsibility for, and agrees to indemnify, defend and hold Seller

injunction, or upon any event beyond the reasonable control of such party (including without limitation shortage of any
raw material or intermediate upon which the manufacture of the material is dependant), provided such event makes it
impracticable, to manufacture, transport, accept or use a shipment of the material. If it is impracticable for Seller to
supply the total demand for the material because of such an event, Seller may allocate its available supply of the
material among itself and its customers in a
manner it determines to be equitable. During such an allocation, Seller will not be obligated to purchase material from
other sources to satisfy its obligations under this contract. Either party may suspend deliveries under this paragraph
without liability, but this contract shall otherwise remain in effect. If deliveries are suspended due to force majeure for
thirty (30) consecutive days, either party may cancel this contract upon 30 days written notice.

(90) days from date of order. Triarch reserves the right to adjust any invoice for clerical and math errors. Freight

the burden of the customer. However custom colored materials may not be returned.
10. GOVERNING LAW: The parties agree to exclude the application of the U.N. Convention on Contracts for the
International Sales of Goods, 1980. The parties also agree this contract shall be governed by the domestic law of the
State of Rhode Island, except with respect to its choice of law provisions.
11. ARBITRATION OF DISPUTES: Any controversy or claim arising out of this contract or the breach thereof may, at
Seller’s option, be referred to non-binding mediation under rules of Seller’s choice. If mediation does not result in
settlement of the dispute, (or if Seller does not elect to pursue mediation), Seller shall have the right to refer the dispute
to binding arbitration under rules of its choice, or to commence litigation.
12. WAIVER: Either party’s failure to insist upon strict performance of any of the terms of this contract will not be
construed as a waiver or relinquishment, to any extent, of the right to assert or rely upon such terms, or any other terms,
on any future occasion.
13. SEVERABILITY: The invalidity of any provision of this contract will not affect the validity of the remaining
provisions, and this contract will be construed as if the invalid provision has been omitted.

Textured Duroplex Dimensional Metals 2 provide a durable metallic finish for interior and exterior space.
Capture the metallic reflection of “Old World Metallurgy” to
unite the performance characteristics and moderate cost of
Duroplex® with the aesthetic appeal of metallic finishes.
Duroplex Dimensional Metals 2 (DDM2) is “Duroplex” tough;
appropriate for use in higher traffic areas. Design options
include metallic patinas in INCA GOLD, STAINLESS STEEL, RUST,
OXIDATION, WELDERS ARC (purple hue) and ELECTRIC
ORANGE.
DDM2 finishes are best achieved over medium or dark toned
backgrounds. To begin, select from our VOC free color chart of
288 colors, an appropriate background color. Next, select a
metallic patina from one of the six options at right. By selecting
a Duroplex pattern or texture option, the process is complete
for design control sample fabrication. Some of the more
popular textural effects include: LUXOR (light stomp base),
SAHARA (Tuscany light pitting base) or ALEXANDRIA (textured
float base). Note – pastel backgrounds do not provide a strong
color contrast with the DDM2 metallic solution.
Duroplex Dimensional Metals 2 works in all sorts of elegant and
themed environments, from public forums, such as exposition
venues to gaming facilities and more sedate corporate
environments. DDM2 finishes are often selected for high traffic
areas because they are Duroplex tough – resistant to abrasion
and impact.

Duroplex® Dimensional Metals 2 (DDM2)
High Performance Seamless Interior Coating
DESCRIPTION
The Duroplex Dimensional
Metals2 (DDM2) line offers
exciting and unique glazing
effects for the Duroplex and
Plexture product lines. Unlike
many of the metallic finishes
available on the market today,
a DDM2 finish is Duroplex
tough. DDM2 finishes
incorporate most of the
performance characteristics
associated with standard
Duroplex finishes, scrub &
abrasion resistant (8000 scrub
cycles), mildew resistant, class
“A” flame & smoke, and a 10
year written product warranty.
Due to the translucent nature of
the DDM2 pigments, we have
found that medium and darker
toned background colors are
necessary to produce the
appropriate effect. Pastels and
off white backgrounds do not
work well with the DDM2
pigment set, therefore, Triarch
will not provide samples of
DDM2 finish in pastel or off
white backgrounds.

Installation over Duroplex or
Plexture
Depending upon relative
moisture content of the
Duroplex or Plexture, it may be
necessary to lightly dampen the
substrate (Duroplex or
Plexture) just prior to applying
the Dimensional Metals 2.
Duroplex or Plexture that has
been installed within the
preceding 48 hours may not
need dampening. Try a control
sample board to understand
substrate adsorption and
pattern techniques.
Mixing
Gently stir Dimensional Metals
2 solution before using to
insure uniform viscosity. Some
settling of the metallic flakes
may occur during shipping and
storage. Do not whip material at
a high speed. Typically
Dimensional Metals 2 does not
require thinning and is ready to
use after stirring. If necessary
only thin with small amounts of
water. Too much thinning will
affect performance.
Application
Several techniques are
possible; a common application
technique for DDM2 uses a
“subtractive technique” similar
to antiquing.
It recommended that a
minimum team of two painters
be engaged in the application
of DDM2.
Ring out the rags or towels to a
damp condition prior to use.
Frequently fold the rag or towel
to work with a non-saturated
rag. Rinse rags in clean water
as needed.
Preferred method of application
is to apply Dimensional Metals
2 by spray. Spray equipment
should be either airless or
HVLP spray.
Applying by roller is possible,
but can be tricky. Pay attention
and do not “paint” with the
DDM2. Be careful not to apply
too heavy and do not overlap
your application. Dampen the
substrate to better control
adsorption of the DDM2. Use a
short nap (1/4") roller cover.
(Don’t use a grid or screen, dip
the roller directly into the
DIMENSIONAL METALS 2).
Apply DIMENSIONAL METALS
2 evenly to produce uniform
coverage of the wall. The
product will be somewhat
translucent on the wall and will
shift color as it dries. Avoid
creating ridges or roller lines
with the DDM2.
While the DDM2 is wet
(immediately) on the wall area,
use 100% cotton rags or towels
to “pat the surface” to remove a
portion of the DDM2. Prepare
the rags or towels by first
soaking them in clean water.

product training required.
Many different lightly
textured metallic effects are
easily accomplished.
 Easily repaired. If scratched
or damaged Collection of
Joy may be “spot touched
up”.
APPLICATION
Always create submittals and
mockup before starting the job
to insure design intent. The
desired finish effect will control
the application technique.
The desired finish is created by
applying two coats of Collection
of Joy over Triarch Prime 1
primer. Application of Collection
of Joy may be accomplished by
either: roller, spray, painter’s
mitt, or brush. The application
method chosen will determine
the finish texture. Refer to
Collection of Joy Color Charts
for examples of different
textures or consult with our
representative for textural
options. Collection of Joy
product arrives ready to use.
Thinning is typically not
necessary. All thinning of
Collection of Joy materials must
be done carefully with clean
water. Over-thinning will result
in loss of opacity (hide) and a
reduction of the desired textural
appearance.
1
Prime 1™: Apply by 3/16” nap
roller. Apply in one even coat
without ridges or runs. The
texture created by the Prime 1
will telegraph through the
metallic finish so an even
application is important.
Allow the primer to dry at least
one hour before applying
Collection of Joy. Over nonabsorbent substrates, allow
Prime 1 to dry 2 -4 hours.
Collection of Joy: Select
desired color and the desired
application method/textural
effect from our catalogs T1212
or T1213. Gently stir
thoroughly before use; do
not whip. Regardless of
application method, two coats
are required. Allow the first coat
to dry to the touch before
applying the second.
First coat should be applied
with 3/16” roller cover. Apply
evenly and uniformly without
ridges or runs. The first coat ay
also be applied by HVLP spray
– see spray instructions below.
The second coat is where the
textural effect is developed,
“the pattern coat”. See
illustrated instructions for
application details. Some
options are: brush apply in a
criss-cross pattern with each
stroke at 90 degrees to the
previous stroke; brush in a
vertical or horizontal drag to
achieve a raw silk effect;
repeating circles using a
stippling brush; tight irregular
circles using our special tool;
3/16” roller cover application for
a uniform effect; spray apply for
a non-directional metallic effect.
A roller applied application may
be accomplished with two coats
of Collection of Joy. However
careful attention is required to
not develop roller tracks.
rev 5
Collection of Joy™
T119
Immediately and lightly back
roll wet material to eliminate
any roller tracks.
Spraying: HVLP or
conventional spray equipment
may be used. Thinning is not
typically required. But if
necessary, thin with up to 4
fluid ounces of clean water to
one gallon/3.78 liters. Overthinning of the paint will result
in loss of opacity (hide) and a
reduction of the desired
appearance.
Use an HVLP gun or a
conventional cup gun with the
fluid and air supply from a
pressure pot and compressor.
Air pressure at the HVLP spray
gun needs to be approximately
30 psi, with greater pressures
at the tank, approximately 45
psi.
Examples: Binks- Mach 1
HVLP, with a 94-nozzle set up
(0.55 or 1.4mm diameter fluid
tip and a 90P air nozzle). The
settings for this equipment
were: Fluid Pressure-25psi and
Air Pressure-45psi. Binks-2001
Conventional, with a 66SS air
nozzle set up (0.70 or 1.8 fluid
tips and a 66SD air nozzle).
The settings for this equipment
were: Fluid Pressure-30psi and
Air Pressure-60psi.
Use a NIOSH approved
respirator when spraying.
Provide adequate ventilation.
Use with Venetian Plaster as
metallic glaze: Use Argente or
Oro Collection of Joy to
produce a silver or gold glaze
effect on Venetian Plaster. Mix
in ratio of 4 ounces per liter of
Cera del Vecchio. Add
additional ounces as needed to
produce a stronger effect.
Apply Cera del Vecchio
normally. See document T113
colorants, so no VOC is added
due to colorants.
Taping – Use high quality, lowtack tape for delicate surfaces.
Handling & Storage – Close
all containers tightly when not
in use. Store in a cool, dry
place away from direct sunlight.
Protect from freezing.
Protect from heat over 100°F.
Stack to maximum of three (3)
pails high. Collection of Joy
and Prime 1 Primer have a one
(1) year shelf life.
Coverage – Selected
application method will
influence final coverage rate.
One gallon/3.78 liters will cover
approximately 350 to 400
square feet/32.7 to 37 square
meters. Approximately 1.25 1.5 mils dry film thickness per
coat. A minimum of 2.5 - 3 mils
dry film thickness (two coats) is
required for hide and full color
development. Therefore a twocoat application should deliver
around 200 square feet per
gallon.
Clean Up – Clean brushes,
rollers, tool, and equipment with
soap and warm water
immediately after use. Do not
reuse containers and properly
dispose of empty containers.
Warranty*: Five years
manufacture’s warranty against
adhesion failure if applied
according to our specifications
and instructions.
Packaging – Packaged in 1
gallon and 5 gallon pails.
Disposal – Dispose of unused
or unwanted product in
accordance with local laws
regulating water-based
coatings.

The luminous, reflective quality of natural mica allows light to dance off this high-performance interior or exterior finish.
Granyte delivers the rich traditional look of granite, creating spectacular
and durable interior walls or exterior designs at a reasonable price.
For the interior, use Triarch’s Granyte to create the substantial appearance
of quarried granite, with only the expense of a drywall partition and the
Granyte. Consider the use of various drywall reveals and moldings to add
design impact. On the exterior, apply directly to smooth concrete or
masonry substrates to transform the utility of cementitious construction
into the impressive appearance of stone.
Granyte seamless stone finishes are available in 12 standard colors; there
are some custom coloration capabilities, but minimum quantities apply.
Adding optional gold mica to any of the Granyte finishes adds interest to
the wall.

PROPERTIES
DRYING TIME - The drying
time of Granyte is dependent
upon the air temperature,
relative humidity and finish
thickness. Under average
drying conditions of 70 °F, [21
°C, 55% R.H.], the finish will dry
in 48 hours. Lower
temperatures and higher
humidity will require that the
Granyte finish be protected for
longer periods. Protect work
from rain during the drying
period.
TESTING INFORMATION:
For individual test data on this
product's properties, refer to the
chart included with this
document.
Granyte
APPLICATION PROCEDURE
JOB CONDITIONS - Air and
surface temperature for
application of Granyte must be
50 °F (10 °C) or higher and
must remain so for a minimum
of 48 hours.
TEMPORARY PROTECTION Shall be provided at all times
until, Granyte is dry. If an
exterior application, continue to
protect until permanent
flashings, sealants, etc. are
completed to protect the wall
from inclement weather and
other sources of weather
damage.
SURFACE PREPARATION
• Surface must be smooth and
free of imperfections to
ensure satisfactory
appearance.
• Application surfaces must be
above 50 °F (10 °C) and must
be clean, dry, structurally
sound and free of
efflorescence, grease, loose
paint, oil, form release agents
and curing compounds.
Interior painted surfaces may
be lightly sanded before
application of Triarch’s
Granyte Special Primer™.
• Drywall: (interior only)
Drywall shall be at a level 4.
Apply Granyte Special Primer
followed by Granyte finish per
application instructions.
• Concrete: Shall have cured a
minimum of 28 days prior to
application of Triarch’s
Special Granyte Primer and
Granyte. If efflorescence
form, release agents or
curing compounds are
present on the concrete
surface, the surface shall be
thoroughly washed with
muriatic acid and flushed to
remove residual acid. All
projections shall be removed
and small voids filled with
Triarch’s SKIMM™ or
REFORMIT™ (see product
data sheets for mixing and
application). Triarch’s
Special Granyte Primer shall
T109
be applied to the prepared
concrete surface using a
roller or brush (see product
data sheet for mixing and
application) prior to
application of Granyte.
• Masonry: The masonry
surface, with joints struck
flush, shall be "skim coated"
with Triarch’s SKIMM™ or
REFORMIT™ (see product
data sheets for mixing and
application) to produce a
smooth, level surface.
Triarch’s Special Granyte
Primer shall be applied to
the prepared masonry
surface using a roller or
brush (see product data
sheet for mixing and
application) prior to
application of Granyte.
• Stucco: Triarch’s Special
Granyte Primer shall be
applied over the cured
brown coat using a roller or
brush (see product data
sheet for mixing and
application). If additives are
present in the stucco, a test
patch shall be made and
bond strength checked prior
to application.
Mixing - Just prior to
application, mix the Granyte for
1 minute to ensure uniformity
using a Twister paddle or
equivalent mixing blade,
powered by a high-torque 12.7
mm (1/2 in) drill, at 400-500
rpm. DO NOT OVERMIX. The
Granyte will usually trowel
apply well enough after being
mixed without the addition of
water. If necessary, additional
water can be added in small
increments. The same amount
of water must be added to all
pails of a given batch. Do not
add more than 6 ounces of
water per pail. Contact a
Triarch Field Service
Manager if a given batch of
Granyte needs more than 6
ounces of water per pail to
spread properly.
Application - Colorcoordinated Triarch’s Special
2
Granyte Primer (*see chart
below) shall be applied to all
substrates a minimum of four
hours prior to application of
Granyte. Triarch’s Special
Granyte Primer must be fully
dry before Granyte is applied.
Trowel apply an even layer
onto the primed base coat,
approximately 1.6-3.2 mm
(1/16-1/8 in) thick. With a clean
plastic float, lightly float the
surface of the Granyte finish
using a tight figure 8 pattern.
Float over the finish lightly
several times, cleaning the float
frequently in the process. This
will bring the large mica to the
surface and enhance the
granite appearance. Allow the
Granyte to thoroughly dry for a
minimum of 48 hours under
average drying conditions [21
°C (70 °F), 55% R.H.]. Do not
apply Granyte on surfaces that
will receive sealant. Those
surfaces shall be coated with
Triarch’s Special Granyte
Primer.
Clean Up - Clean tools with
water while Granyte is still wet.
Maintenance - All Triarch
products are designed to
require minimal maintenance.
However, as with all building
products, depending on
location, some cleaning may be
required. See Triarch
publication on cleaning and
optional clear sealer.
Storage - Granyte must be
stored at a minimum of 10 °C
(50 °F) and a maximum of 38
°C (100 °F) in tightly sealed
containers out of direct sunlight.
Granyte

1
The application for Klondike
traditional and Klondike
Light is the same:
1) Classic effect (using a
Spatula): apply KLONDIKE
with the PV 43 Stainless
Steel Trowel, using uneven
strokes between 6-12
inches (15 -30 cm) long in all
directions, leaving a light
and uneven coating of
product on the surface. After
5 -6 hours at 70◦ F (20°C),
apply the second coat of
KLONDIKE using the same
method as for the first coat
(described previously). Wait
for approximately 1 hour at
◦
70 F (20°C) 20°C and go
over the part which has
already been treated, using
the same PV 43 Stainless
Steel Trowel but with no
product, making criss-cross
strokes approximately 6-12
inches (15 -30 cm) long in all
directions and exerting
pressure so that the color
particles are crushed and
made smaller, thus forming
light and shade effects.
2) Classic effect (Brush +
Spatula): the Classic effect
can also be achieved using
the following application

The workhorse – a durable, highly-desirable interior finish to meet the demands of today’s busy interior spaces.
Plexture is the interior design workhorse; a moderately priced
wall finish with durability few other interior wall materials can
match. This seamless, acrylic textured finish is aggressively
priced; with a typical installation price below $0.75/sq.ft. for a
standard Plexture finish for medium scale commercial
installations with national average labor costs. The appearance is
similar to many knock down finishes, but the durability,
washability, abuse resistance and mold & mildew resistance have
allowed Plexture to capture a large percentage of the hospitality
marketplace.
More design options are available with the Premium Plexture
finishes such as Symphony, Sedona DS II, and Orange Peel.
Premium patterns Lace & Mist add a subtle high performance
pearlescent effect. Premium Plexture will typically install for
$1.00-1.25 per square foot under the same project conditions.
Regardless of the finish selected, Plexture is highly scrubable and
is warranted against mold and mildew growth (ASTM D 3273).

are zero VOC rated pigments
and are APEO free.
Handling & Storage – Close
all containers tightly when not
in use. Store in a cool, dry
place away from direct sunlight.
Protect from freezing,
product is typical not useable
after one freeze. Protect

water based filled acrylic
compound that is utilized by
itself for filling and skimming
mortar, grout lines in new or
painted CMU, block, brick, etc.
up to 3/8” deep and for
“sacking” new concrete.
For surfaces with average 3/8”
or greater irregularities, use our
REFORMIT™ product. Refer to
data page T116.
SKIMM and Durofloat use the
same acrylic chemical
technology. SKIMM uses larger
aggregate filler, while Durofloat
uses a finer aggregate. SKIMM

use; very little material waste
and no wasted labor preparing
materials.
With zero VOCs, SKIMM
meets all LEED low emitting
material criteria.
Be certain to review any
substrate specific
specifications and installation
guidelines.
HOW TO SPECIFY
In varying or uncertain job
conditions, specify both options
and allow the contractor to make
the choice of which to use. The
specifications contained in the
architectural binder call for
SKIMM/Durofloat compound. The
contractor should determine the
correct product for the site
conditions. The materials cost the
same, so labor will be the only
variable factor in material
selection, so allow the contractor to
judge whether the job calls for
SKIMM or Durofloat compound.

Acrylic Glaze™
T117
CLEAR ACRYLIC SURFACE PROTECTOR
DESCRIPTION
Acrylic Glaze is a 100% acrylic
emulsion binder that dries to a
clear appearance and helps
prevent liquid water that is not
under pressure from being
absorbed into the substrate. It
has excellent resistance to
water whitening after fully dried,
reduces dirt pickup, and
improves washability while
revitalizing the color of
weathered finishes.
USES - INTERIOR
Provides a partial seal for new
installations of Duroplex and
Plexture to provide increased
resistance to dirt pickup.
Improves “washability” by
reducing porosity and providing
a clear surface barrier for dirt.
USES – EXTERIOR
•
On older exterior
installations, Acrylic Glaze
revitalizes the color of
weathered Duroplex-EXT
and extends the life cycle,
while reducing porosity.
Provides a surface barrier
to continued attack by acid
rain and other pollutants.
Improves the freeze-thaw
resistance of porous
exterior surfaces by
lowering water absorption.
•
Also works well to reduce
porosity of other building
materials such as stone,
terra cotta, stucco, EIFS
and concrete. Not
recommended for use on
wearing horizontal surfaces
such as concrete decks or
on immersion surfaces
such as pools, hot tubs,
and whirlpools.
COVERAGE
•
The coverage of the 5
gallon (40 lb/18 kg) pail
depends on the texture and
porosity of the substrate.
Printed in USA
©Triarch 2008
•
•
For applications to new
installations of Duroplex or
Plexture, the coverage is
approximately 1200-1600
ft2 (110-150 m2) per coat
per 5 gallon pail.
For use over older Duroplex
or other porous material,
the coverage is reduced to
approximately 500- 1000 ft2
(37-110 m2) per coat per 5
gallon pail.
Porous Material
Concrete and stucco surfaces
must be fully cured a minimum
of 28 days prior to application of
Acrylic Glaze. Concrete and
masonry surfaces may be
slightly dampened prior to
application of Acrylic Glaze.
Mixing
Stir thoroughly before using and
often during the application
process.
PROPERTIES
Drying time
The drying time of Acrylic Glaze
is dependent upon the air
temperature and relative
humidity. Under average drying
conditions of 70o F {21 °C},
55% R.H., Acrylic Glaze is dry
to touch in 2 hours. If exterior,
protect work from rain for at
least 24 hours.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE
Job Conditions
Air and surface temperature for
application of Acrylic Glaze
must be 50 °F (10 °C) or higher
and must remain so for a
minimum of 24 hours.
Surface Preparation
All surfaces must be clean, dry,
structurally sound and free of
efflorescence, grease, oil,
mildew, algae, form release
agents and curing compounds.
Protect adjacent surfaces,
windows, shrubs, etc. from
drips.
New installations of Duroplex
or Plexture
Allow finish to dry a minimum of
24 hours under average drying
conditions [21 °C (70 °F), 55%
R.H.] before applying Acrylic
Glaze.
1
Application
The preferred method of
application is by spray. Suitable
spray equipment is airless
spray or low-pressure hand
pump garden-type sprayer.
Brush, roller, or paint pads can
be used but are prone to
dripping. Always start at the top
of the wall surface and, using
horizontal strokes, saturate the
surface to the point of run-off.
Acrylic Glaze goes on as a
milky white liquid, ensuring
complete coverage, and dries
clear. Do all applications across
a wall section or panel in a
continuous pattern, without
breaks, maintaining a wet edge
until a logical break is reached.
Ensure application is uniform
without runs or excessive
buildup in reveals, special
shapes, etc. Remove excess
Acrylic Glaze with a brush,
roller or cloth.
Clean Up
Clean tools with water while
Acrylic Glaze is still wet.
MAINTENANCE
All Triarch products are
designed to be virtually
maintenance free. However, as
with all building products,
depending on location, some
cleaning may be required.
SHIPPING AND STORAGE
Five gallon pails weighing 40
lbs. Acrylic Glaze must be
stored at 50 °F (10 °C) or above
in tightly sealed containers out
of direct sunlight.

PolyGlaz®
T121
CLEAR URETHANE SURFACE PROTECTOR
MIXING
DESCRIPTION
PolyGlaz is a low VOC,
water based, clear
aliphatic urethane that
imparts certain
performance
characteristics to almost
any substrate. Primary
characteristics gained by
the use of PolyGlaz are:
high abrasion resistance,
high UV resistance,
improved gloss levels,
resistance to marking and
ease of repeated cleaning.
Other characteristics
include high microbial
resistance, including
molds and mildews, and a
very low perm rating (0.8),
which may be desired for
certain type of
applications when a
sealed surface is desired.
USES - INTERIOR
Provides a sealed surface
for installations of
Duroplex®, Plexture®,
Klondike™ and Collection
of Joy.™ Benefits include
increased resistance to
dirt pickup, scratch
resistance, and improved
cleanability. Improves
“washability” with a low
perm rating and provides
a smooth, clear surface
barrier for dirt.

PolyGlaz has a perm
rating of 0.8 perms. It is
ideal for use around food
preparation areas and
walls that will be wiped
and cleaned regularly.
COVERAGE
•
•
The coverage of
PolyGlaz depends on
the texture and
porosity of the
substrate.
Applications over a
smooth substrate will
achieve up to 400
square feet per gallon.
For applications over
an absorbent and
textured substrate
such as Duroplex or
Plexture, the coverage
is approximately 14001600 ft2 (110-150 m2)
per coat per 5 gallon
pail.

kg/cm (274 lbs/in) of width.
RAC Mesh measures 48” wide
by 150 linear feet long. This is
enough RAC Mesh for 600
square feet. The reinforcing
meshes are lapped a minimum
of 2½” at all edges. A layer of
RAC Mesh must be applied
over the entire wall using
published application methods.
Corner Mesh: 9 ¼ inches wide
x 150 lineal feet. (Blue in Color)
Application Procedure
Apply SKIMM or REFORMIT
to the entire surface of the
substrate to form a base coat.
Fully embed the reinforcing
fabric in the wet base coat,
troweling from the center to the
edge of the reinforcing fabric so
as to avoid wrinkles. The
reinforcing fabric shall be
continuous at all corners and
lapped or butted in accordance
with Triarch’s project
