The SkyEdge™ Pro VSAT is a state of the art, two-way satellite
communication solution, with interactive data, Broadband IP, public &
corporate telephony and video running on a single VSAT platform. The
SkyEdge Pro brings you ever-expanding communications capabilities
with reliable connectivity and simple operation. Embedded TCP and
HTTP acceleration, embedded VPN, and full mesh support present a
versatile VSAT that empowers any business or government by enabling
virtually every communications application.
Intergrated Operations
SkyEdge Pro integrates mesh capabilities for native telephony, VoIP,
video conferencing and IP routing, resulting in single hop performance
with minimal delay, increased quality and cost-effective space
segment utilization. QoS support for all traffic, enabling prioritization
and fairness based on DiffServ for data and bandwidth reservation for
voice, guarantees appropriate service levels for all applications.
All SkyEdge VSATs are built to last, with well tested components. In
order to further ensure network availability, the SkyEdge Pro can
provide automatic failover via a serial interface to a dial backup
modem.
Maximum VSAT Flexibility
The SkyEdge Pro has flexible hardware and software. The advanced
power-save mode allows efficient SkyEdge Pro operations where AC
power is unavailable.
As software is embedded in the VSAT, all software can be easily
managed, fully controlled and updated remotely from the NMS.
Modular design supports field upgradeable expansion cards for mesh,
increased telephony capacity, and Quad LAN. The optional SkyEdge
Pro 19” rack mount format adds interfaces such as an advanced
multimedia card serving video multicasting for business TV, digital
signage and distant learning.
SkyEdge Pro also offers seamless PSTN and Internet backbone
connectivity with call data for both prepay and postpay billing support.
