What is the Christian Leadership Development Program?
“The Christian Leadership program is a bridge program designed explicitly for those who have
completed secondary school and wish to pursue post-secondary education and/or establish themselves in a
trade, which will allow them
to become community leaders and church planters.”

The Purpose of the CLD.
The Christian Leadership Development program (CLD) program gives selected young
Christians in Zambia the opportunity to use the year after graduation from high school to
prepare for further education. By design, the combination of academics and
spiritual formation will position the student for future success in whatever
walk of life they pursue as a Christian leader in Zambia.
What We Are Looking For?
We are looking for young people, who have completed Grade 12, with favorable grades and
desire to further their education, who are faithful members of the Church of Christ,
spiritually mature and involved in the work of the local church.
GOALS FOR STUDENTS OF THE CHRISTIAN LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM.
To encourage and better prepare graduates for admission into further post-secondary
education and be encouraged to pursue teacher training at George Benson Christian
College.
To create life-long learners who have an adequate educational foundation to allow them
to continue both their Biblical and secular learning after leaving the program.
To provide the skills necessary to allow a graduate to become a
self-supporting Christian evangelist.

The Christian Leadership Development Program
The CLD student will have access to qualified teachers from all across the globe and will be
exposed to Christian Leadership and Service as well as Bible, Liberal Arts and practical topics
such as Small Business, Speech, Computers, Agriculture and Biblical Stewardship.
The student will also gain experience in Research and Spiritual Formation. One of the
greatest benefactors of this new program will be George Benson Christian College since the
primary purpose of the CLD program is to send many of our students into the GBCC
teachers training program. The graduates of this 3-year program will then be eligible to be
paid and posted by the Zambian government.

How important is the Christian Leadership
Development?
Bruce Munsaka wrote on the CLD OPEN FORUM.
My own experience with CLD Class.
...It was on the 14th Dec, 2013. When I was call by CLD recruiting officer.
Bruce you were pick to go to George Benson for 2014 intake.
I was excited and said Yes!
Then the next phrase went like you will go into the CLD. The next question was: is it okay with
you. So I just said yea. What really motivated me to go ahead with the program?
I remember telling him that: 'I will go through the CLD because there is something they want me
to learn. I sold half of my Business just to prepare for my first term. CLD today is like an Angel
to me. I know my mark in this class will remain as long as the program stands. CLD has
transformed my life My Family my future.
If you're accepted, Trust me. Go into this wonderful class of the CLD.
I am blessed and excited.
We expect this ministry to last long after
we have left the mission field…
Why?
Because we are involving many
people in the ministry and
we are Encouraging, Equipping and
Enriching many OTHERS to continue the
ministry.

In the postpartum period, a doula provides
valuable information and assistance on
infant feeding, newborn care, helps with
emotional and physical recovery from birth,
and works with parents to build infant
soothing and coping skills.
