Find Your Floral Fixing: Four Seasons Launches New Line of Blooming Cocktails Featuring elit by Stolichnaya “April Showers Bring May Flowers” serves as the brand’s fourth theme in Cocktail Quarterly series April 18, 2016, Toronto, Canada Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts launches the latest iteration of Four Seasons ongoing Cocktail Quarterly series featuring elit by Stolichnaya, April Showers Bring May Flowers, running from April to June 2016. Incorporating fresh and seasonal ingredients and garnishes, participating Four Seasons properties in the Americas will offer lush and locally crafted cocktails featuring elit by Stolichnaya to capture the essence of springtime. A year-long global initiative, the Cocktail Quarterly series hones in on one cocktail trend, technique or seasonal ingredient each quarter. Started in the summer of 2015, the series now adds cocktails inspired from the garden to the list of classic libations revamped throughout the initiative, including tea and coffee cocktails, bubbly beverages, and all-new twists on the classic Old Fashioned. 1 “ Four Seasons is thrilled to be featuring elit by Stoli for the latest installment of our Cocktail Quarterly series,” says Guy Rigby, Vice President Food & Beverage Americas for Four Seasons . “elit by Stoli is an award-winning vodka known for its unparalleled quality of taste, and we are pleased to showcase their spirit through seasonal garden cocktails conceived by our expert mixologists.” “We are proud to be featured in the April Showers Bring May Flowers specialty cocktails at Four Seasons for the second year in a row, as they share our brand values including their attention to quality and detail,” says Lauren Ryan, Brand Manager of elit by Stolichnaya. “The elit Vodka cocktails that Four Seasons mixologists have created are innovative, sophisticated and delicious and we are excited for people to taste them!” Cocktails include unique offerings such as: • The Double Agent at Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas: Inspired by the Vesper martini, this cocktail features elit by Stolichnaya with Lillet Blanc, St-Germain and citrus bitters, garnished with a rosemary sprig and lemon twist, making it a crisp, clean drink for spring. • April Showers Bring May Flowers at Four Seasons Hotel Silicon Valley at East Palo Alto: Named after the theme itself, this pink martini – made with Lillet Blanc, elderflower liqueur, Cointreau and rhubarb bitters – is inspired by strawberry rhubarb pie, with herbal notes from sauvignon blanc mimicking the scent of fresh grass growing in the spring. A “rain” ice cube, made from sauvignon blanc and edible flowers, melts as one enjoys the drink, deepening the flavour of the cocktail as the flowers begin to float to the top. • The Russian Inquisition at Four Seasons Hotel Toronto – Bridging the gap between a savoury martini and one with a citrus zest, this drink combines the salinity and nuttiness of sherry, tequila to add strength and smoke and the sweetness of vermouth and Luxardo maraschino liqueur to balance out the recipe – all while the elit by Stolichnaya anchors the cocktail. A few dashes of orange blossom water and lemon twist keeps the drink fresh and bright for springtime. • Bouquet at Four Seasons Hotel New York – A nod to the marigolds and hibiscus that are in full bloom in the spring, this cocktail is a delicate balance in floral aromas and tart hibiscus, complete with a dash of spice. An infusion of port wine, vermouth, orange bitters and marigold flowers complements the elit by Stolichnaya concentrated bittersweet palate and spicy grain flavours; espelette-infused agave syrup softens up the smoky, spicy finish.
