IC Istanbul 2015 - Australian and New Zealand Intensive Care
-1- -2- Invitation 2 Organizing Committee 3 Scientific Programme 4 Registration 12 Hotel Booking 13 Abstract Submission 14 General Information 15 Contact 16 -1- Invitation D ear Colleagues, I am very pleased to invite you to the 20th“International Intensive Care Symposium” which will be held in Istanbul between May 8th and 9th, 2015. I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to our founders, former boards of governors and scientific committees, whose vision brought us to the point where we are standing right now since the early beginnings of our society 37 years ago. Correspondingly, I would like to send my appreciation to the international community and invited faculty who have been supporting our society and this international intensive care symposium to reach its high level since the first year it has been organized, as well as our intensive care community for their inherent support throughout the years. Necmettin Ünal President of Turkish Society of Intensive Care During the long, demanding yet successful course of our society’s journey, at the end of which we are honored to be organizing our 20th symposium, we have felt the historical need to introduce positive developments and changes to this event, in order to support our future projects. For this reason, we have targeted to establish this symposium which is taking place where the continents are meeting, to be a platform that all the intensive care volunteers from different countries and representatives of their societies gather together to share current scientific knowledge and prepare future collaborations that would take intensive care even further. In an effort to attain this goal, we have planned to double the scientific portfolio of this symposium with the contribution of international faculty who has served the field. Nearby, we have strategically designed this event to provide a foundation to initiate newpotential alliances in the future in-between countries/societies that we share common historical, cultural, geographical and scientific stakeholders. Throughout these efforts, we would like to extend our thankfulness primarily to our Ministry of Health, as well as all other governmental institutions and organizations along with non-governmental and civil society organizations, as well as our sister societies in addition to the directors and governing bodies of the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine, the World Federation of Intensive and Critical Care Medicine Societies and the Global Sepsis Alliance. In Istanbul, at this special geographical location where continents, cultures and their history meets, we cordially would like to invite you to come together in person or as various societies to share knowledge and merge our future targets. Your attendance and contributions will definitely empower us to reach our common goals. Looking forward to see you in Istanbul in May 8th and 9th, 2015!
