Manufacturer Provided Description
The Wanderer Trawler is very tough and light for a 30-foot boat. Construction
methods and materials used in her manufacture were chosen to afford the owner
the quality, security, and comfort of a much more expensive boat without the cost
normally associated with that level of value-added features. The Wanderer
Trawler was designed with the mature boat owner in mind - that rugged
individualist who has reached the point in his or her life where traditional
aesthetics, quality craftsmanship, unique form, and simplicity are more important
than the go-fast, high-maintenance, and smaller accommodations of other boats.
The years invested in defining and refining the design of the Wanderer Trawler
are manifest in the efficient, practical, and commodious interior. The inside
steering station is located on the starboard side close to amidships. There is a
removable helmsman chair if standing at the helm is more comfortable. The
galley is a standup L-shape and benefits from the ventilation and light of an
overhead hatch. Hot and cool water, a two-burner stove, and 12-volt DC - 110volt AC refrigeration complete the gourmet workstation. The large dinette to port
converts easily into a comfortable double, but the piece-de-resistance is the
owner's cabin queen-size berth forward. The head is large and includes a
separate shower stall. Location of the head and galley afford the owner's cabin
optimum privacy. The Trawler has a large protected hatch above the main cabin
to facilitate installation of an air conditioner. Other ventilation and light is derived
from three hatches, four rounded deadweights, two opening ports, and two large
sliding windows in the main salon. There are four large fixed windows and a
companionway with doors as well. The mechanical, electrical, and plumbing
systems are simple and uncluttered. Access is easy and well-labeled.
Accommodations
Besides the cabin table which converts into a comfortable double, the "Owner's
cabin" forward is a queen size berth. The head is large, and situated properly
fore-and-aft, with a separate stall shower. Location of the head and galley afford
the owner's cabin optimum privacy. The head is equipped with sink, toilet,
shower, and adequate counter space and ventilation.
Galley
The galley is a stand-up "L" shape, and benefits from an overhead hatch,
affording ventilation and light. Hot and cool pressured water, a two-burner Wallas
diesel cooking stove, and 12Vdc/110Vac Nordcold refrigerator with freezer
complete the work station. Microwave Oven. Storage and drawers are plenty.

Deck and Hull
As with all Nimble boats, use of vacuum-bagged foam core, laminated with
fiberglass, provides a high-strength, very tough hull. Coda was designed with a
narrow beam so that she could be easily driven by a small fuel "sipping" diesel
engine. The beam measurements combined with the draft, allow ease of
trailering without special permits. A long, straight keel, and modern bow entry,
rapidly gaining her maximum beam which is carried well aft has a duel benefit:
excellent sea keeping and maximized room. The deck and hull are sealed and
bolted together with stainless hardware, then the bolts and nuts are sealed again
for assurance against leaks. The rub rail and six stainless steel cleats, all with
proper back-up plates.
